There stood at the gate two stinking dirty Shetland ponies. Behind them stood a spotless dark bay Morgan. The Shetland with the pitch black cranium pinned his audits as his owner came into view, watching her as she studied the rest of his bodice which was once white. Now it was almost as dark as his taller companion. The female next to him was worse, she was as dark as the Morgan. The once white mare nickered excitedly as Raven came into view. Engel, Teufel? Was hast du getan?! she exclaimed, her frame rushing toward them. It was Saturday, she had no classes to teach and no marking to complete either. That was done last night. She was hoping to be able to ride Danny, but it looks like she would have to be cleaning her two pains in the backsides. There was no way she would be able to brush it out. She sighed as she reached the pair, her blue oracles holding a glint of frustration. Haben Sie zwei mich hassen? she asked in despair, glad she had grabbed the pairs head collars along with Danny's on accident. Her hands worked quickly on placing the head collar on the pair, leading them from the pasture before the could do anymore damage. She called back to Danny, saying she would hopefully ride him later. Then she made her way to the showers, shaking her head in dismay.
She tied the pair up in the shower, leaving briefly to collect the shampoo she had recently replaced. The pair were often being washed, as they almost always came in from the pasture dirty. She still had no idea how, and didn't ever think she would learn how either. She just ran her fingers through her red locks, tutting when the pair came back into view. She would be here for ages. Wir besser dann loszulegen. she sighed, turning on the tap to fill up the bucket. She turned the hose on Teufel, who whinnied in surprise, causing Raven to chuckle. The gelding threw out his hind leg to tip over the bucket, causing the water to be thrown all over Raven's frame. She gasped at the temperature, and then laughed as the gelding looked smug. Engel, not to be left out, twisted around to glare at Raven. Raven aimed the hose so that the water looked as if it would hit the mares cranium, yet it skirted over her head to land onto her back. The mare squealed in excitement, bumping into Teufel as she tried to get closer to the water. Raven laughed, dropping the hose and looking at the patch of white coat beginning to show on the vixen's back. The contrast was amazing. She looked at the ground where the murky water flowed past her feet. Her hands picked up the bottle of shampoo from the ground, and began to squirt some on Teufel's back. Her fingers began to scrub it into his still thick coat, recoiling slightly at the huge mass of dirt that escaped his pelt's clutches. Wir werden hier den ganzen Tag she groaned, setting back to work once more.

Kat tossed his head, ears laid back against his neck, as Yann approached him in the paddock. The dressage coach winced inwardly, eying the gelding - who happened to be plastered with mud - knowing that this was an off day for him. Even more so than usual, that was. Kat wasn't overly fond of being in the cross-ties, for one, and for two he was in an unusually nasty mood today, looking like he was about to take Yann's arm off if he came too close. He was already trying to back himself up into the littlest corner, before wheeling away at the last second. "Kat! Herkommen!" he said under his breath in exasperation, but the gelding just laid his ears back again and took off with a rolling buck across the long edge of the paddock again. Claude was following Yann around like a giant Bay puppy, spotlessly clean and perfectly behaved, ready to go out for a ride. Yann, rattled by his ride on the big gelding during which his nightmares of late had crept up as cold as ice across his shoulders, was fairly well ignoring him except for a couple of words. He couldn't help being fond of Claude - no one who met him could resist his big personality and good looks - but at least on Kat he felt like he was still alive. Torture felt right to him at the moment, and he wasn't about to bother analyzing that fact any more than he felt it merited analysis. Which, of course, wasn't at all. In a last-ditch effort to catch his horse, he stretched out a cupped palm, as if something tasty was hidden just behind his fingers. Kat's ears flicked up with interest, but then back again, mistrusting a trick that had probably been used on him before. Nonetheless, in that half a second of indecision, Yann managed to loop the lead rope around his neck and slip the halter on without getting bitten, although he did come close.
"Sie erwischt!" Yann trumpeted triumphantly, as Kat decided to resist and was being half-dragged along like a mule. Nonetheless, he was well and truly caught and soon enough he switched tactics, doing his best to trample on Yann's toes or cut him off. The horse-wise old fool was having nothing of that, though, and they fought each other up and down the lane like an old married couple. Kat and Yann were well matched in stubbornness, and this was no exception, with neither giving an inch. Finally, though, they settled into a compromise and made the rest of the way up to the barn with fairly little trouble... Until they tried to go into the shower stall. Yann gave polite, is terse, nods to Lestat and Raven as he passed them, but he was too busily engaged in a battle of wills to actually greet them - or to notice the latent tension. Kat, realizing where they were headed, threw up his head rudely and took a few steps backward, cow-kicking out at a wall about half a foot in front of Lestat, which warranted an evil glare and a nudge Yann's knee. Although this latter was half-hearted. "Bitte! ...Wait... Sorry, I mean, sorry! He's decided to be an absolute monster today..." he growled, as he fought Kat around into the shower stall and clipped the cross-ties before the horse could think twice about going anything else stupid. However, shortly after, Kat tossed his head irritably and managed to get a pretty good grip on Yann's arm with his teeth. Yann recoiled instinctively, which ensured that his sleeve was ripped and a strip of cloth hung dangling madly from his arm, a bit of blood welling up in the deepest clips. It didn't hurt much, but Yann was feeling practically murderous at this point... though he appeared calm enough outwardly.
ooc: I hate colors and sunshine and puppies. And rainbows and unicorns and babies. But I will give you some translations: Herrkommen - come here Sie erwischt - a horribly translated "caught you!" Bitte - sorry!

The soft thud of unshod hooves walked across the gravel/dirt path. Heavy sweat was drenched around a chesnut appaloosa's neck. A blonde headed girl held the leather reins as the pair walked along. Had she known ahead of time the showers would have been so crowded, she wouldn't have came.
But the again, her blue eyes lit up at seeing a figure in the distance who seemed remarkably similiar to Lestat. Her heart started to flutter, what if it was him? A glow of happiness seemed to suddenly float around her fit figure. Her cowboy boots seemed lighter, almost as if they weren't even touching the ground. She hadn't been noticed yet. Her eyes quickly took in the other two individuals. One was a guy with a hot horse who was behaving badly, then there was a red head. Kristin had known of her as a staff member. As far carrying on any conversations, she couldn't remember any. She turned back to the man, and was even more excited seeing it was indeed Lestat. No one knew they liked each other, well, the girl knew he liked her. It was just that cute grin he pulled on his face when she was around. But no one else knew... they really couldn't. Well, Kirk did, but he wouldn't tell.
Kristin noticed he was talking to the redhead, and her jealous bone seemed to acknowledge the fact. The girl was probably so protective becuase she knew she wasn't as pretty as a lot of girls, and their good looks and charm always drug guys in. She was never that lucky. She felt so shy around him now, so small compared to the other woman. She hadn't even been noticed... until the gelding let out a friendly nicker to the other horses. Thanks Bo.

Teufel was nibbling on the edge of her shirt, the little monster's glassy oracles casting up to her every second or two to gage her reaction. She didn't bother to react, knowing what thats what he wanted. She froze when she heard the cool vocals of Lestat. Her frame righted, making her hit her six foot height fully. She cursed herself mentally, she had managed to avoid him since their meetings. Hello Lestat. How have.. uh. How have you been? she offered awkwardly, her fingers picking at the sponge in her hands. She noted the cool, collected expression on his face, but she offered no cover up of her own expression. She felt as if she had been cornered, she really didn't like the feeling. Just then, another staff member entered the showers with his horse. She noted that he exclaimed in German before correcting himself in English. She returned his nod before turning back to Lestat, realizing that she really, really wanted to get out of there.
She couldn't find anything else to say to the man, so she returned to washing the Shetlands. Then a nicker sounded from approaching hooves, making Engel call out excitedly. Neither of her pair of Shetlands were particularly intimidated by other horses, although Teufel liked to play big man. Both liked to meet others so the addition of yet another horse was perfectly fine with them. She looked over her shoulder to see the academy's owner, her lips pulling into a slight frown as she felt the tension increase. As if it wasn't bad enough, you could almost cut through the air. She squirmed, wondering why the addition of Kirsten had changed it so dramatically. Raven tried to focus on the pair, which were now both looking over their shoulders at Kirsten's horse. You could visibly see Teufel's chest puffing out, his eyes almost narrowing. Nein Teufel, Sei nicht albern. she told him softly, running a soothing hand down his back. The gelding dropped his head and began to snuffle the wet ground in his boredom. Engel had also grown disinterested, her maw being pressed into Raven's hip. The woman was soothed by the mares gesture, forcing herself to not look over her shoulder at Lestat.

Lestat watched Raven with cool eyes. He didn't feel anything for her anymore, but he still wanted answers. Or did he? He had Kristin now. Someone that understood him for him. She was smart and funny. Sweet and caring. So why was he still there? One of the staff members interrupted his thoughts. As far as he remembered, the man was named Yann, though he wasn't entirely sure.
The silence was awkward, but was broken by a familiar whinny, and sure enough when he turned around there was Bo and Kristin. Lestat realised that the situation must look bad, but he had done nothing wrong. He gave a smile to Kristin, one that he usually just reserved for her, before walking up and petting Bo. To him, Kristin was beautiful, but it was her attitude that had made him fall for her.
He sure had fallen hard. Lestat was standing next to her, and felt the tension rolling off Kristin. He decided to breach a gap, and took Kristin's warm hand in his own, hopefully reassuring her that there was nothing between him and Raven. It wasn't a show for anyone, and Lestat had genuine feelings for her.

Yann was beginning to realize how awkward of a situation this actually was, as Kat fretted at the cross ties. His composure was rather flustered, his usually stony face showing some amount of discomfort as the air around these three strangers became unmistakeably charged. One thing that Yann had been deprived of for almost his entire life was human relationships - at least of the sort entailed in dating someone, or even wanting to. Truth be told, there had been very few times when he'd actually regretted this... His time had been well spent. And, then, after he stopped riding for God knew how long, he'd been far too miserable and shut in to actually want to be with anyone. So, without a frame of reference, he was completely uncertain as to the cause of the obvious heat between these three, at least until Lestat reached out to grab Kristin's hand. The gesture was so obviously protective that he instantly comprehended something of the situation.
Still, it was quite awkward to be stuck in the middle of it, so he turned his attention back to Kat, who was tossing his head and creating a massive racket against the metal walls. "You're a hot mess, you know that?" Yann growled to him beneath his breath - and since he was horrible at whispering it didn't exactly work out as planned. Whatever. "Alright, Katzenjammer, just chill out a second and we'll get this mud off you. Then I promise not to take up any more of your time." He said softly, patting the chestnut neck, which warranted and irritable snap and the laying back of the ears. He made a mental note to have the horse's thyroid gland checked as soon as possible - it was really insane how Kat could be perfectly well-behaved one moment and then... this... the very next. Chances were that all the horse needed was more time - he was far to intelligent to be a quick fix.
Upon hearing Raven speak to Teufel next to him, he couldn't help but grin. "Sie sprechen auch Deutsch?" He asked rather amicably from beside her, unhooking the hose from the wall. The arm that Kat had bitten was bleeding a bit now, but he chose to grin and bear it, just so long as he could get the dang horse clean and back in the pasture where he could run around and buck and do whatever he needed to do to calm himself down. As much as he loved horses, some of them were just pains in the rear end... and Kat seemed to fit the bill pretty well at the moment.
ooc: Sie sprechen auch Deutsch? - You speak German too?
