Pysical Description:
Not tall, but Darren is just waiting for that growth spurt. He has dark blond hair and green eyes. His hair is thick, and shaggy. He has a very charming smile, and is thin for a fifteen year old.
Personality:
Darren can be an odd one out. He is very withdrawn sometimes, and only because he is a Synesthete. He can get distracted easily, but it is very rare. Also a bit of a neat freak, he doesn't like having a mess around him.
Overall he's a friendly guy that just deserves a chance to show what he's made of.
Background:
Darren was born and bred in London, England. His father passed away when he was 2 and mother died in a car crash when he was 7. He was adopted by a riding couple. Sarah, his adoptive mother, encouraged him to ride to help him cope with his mother's death. Darren never really got over his mom's death, and thinks about her constantly.
Scott, his adoptive father, decided to introduce Darren to the world of competitive riding, and Darren took to it like a duck to water. He found that he enjoyed riding in the children classes and that in the moment he actually forgot about his mother.
When he was 10, Darren started complaining that the colours were different and that he was "seeing" music. Scott took him to a hospital, and Darren was diagnosed with a disease called Synesthesia1. Not that it stopped him. His riding took on a whole new level. When he turned 13, Darren had some problems at school, but Sarah suggested Blue Ridge. Now Darren finds himself at a school where he is the only known Synesthete.
