Full Name: Avery Nicholes Johnson
Nick Names: Ave, most just call him Avery
Student or Staff: student, wants to major in history
Age: 18
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Physical Description: Avery is a very muscular individual. He stands at exactly 6'. He has a noticeable farmer's tan and piercing blue eyes. His face is always clean shaven, and his square chin gives him an older appearence.
Avery usually wears Wrangler jeans, cowboy boots, any kind of shirt, his cowboy hat, but no outfit it complete without his huge belt buckle he won last year at the National Youth Rodeo Finals held in Las Vegas.
Personalitly: Avery is tough, at least on the outside. Thanks to his father, he was practically made that way. He doesn't mind drinking a few beers when he can bum them off people, he had his expierence with cigarettes, once was enough. Of course this cowboy is a ladies man, though he knows enough to keep himself in his pants and know how to treat a lady.
Background: Avery was born to a family with three older sisters in Waurika, Oklahoma. His mother couldn't have anymore children, so he was the only one his father could teach his ways. For that reason, the man was rather harsh on the boy, but never abusive.
At five, Avery was expected to ride his first horse in the rodeo. The boy cried. Horses scared him. His father was angered his only son feared them, and by golly, the man swore to make a cowboy out of him. Barrel racing was not just a womens sport, and that night, little Avery held onto that horn as tight as he could as the well-trained horse ran around the barrels. His little face was red and wet, but his didn't cry anymore, not after his father's threatening voice if he embarrased him in front of the watching viewers. The horse did it's job and Avery was yanked off as soon as the animal came to a stop. His oldest sister held him in her arms, angered to tears at her father, 'He didn't want to do it, he didn't like it!' she exclaimed as the family headed to the truck and trailer, 'He'll learn to like it!' the man argued back.
And that was how it went. Avery was forced to ride everyday, until his emotions were masked in the form of pure habit. He learned how to calf rope, and excelled in rodeos, but did he excell in his heart? The boy had a passion for school and good grades. He got 'A's in English, History, and Math. But, that didn't seem to impress his father. His mother was pleased, and his sisters. Once, Avery dressed in tennis shoes and a t-shirt for school. His father would not let him leave until he changed. For fear of being late to class, the boy obligied but not by his father's will.
High school wasn't much different, he rode without emotions, won rodeos without caring. This wasn't him, was it? He liked girls, the sweet ones with glasses never went out with him. He liked a redhead. She was fragile, innocent. She wore glasses and had braces. She wanted to be an author. She met his father one time, and was disgraced. The man clearly showed his dissaprovel. She was no cowgirl, would never be one. Avery yelled at him that it didn't matter. The girl felt as though she caused the pain between father and son, and vowed to never date Avery again. The cowboy was heartbroke, he loved her. The pain had been there all along. After that, Avery went out with two girls, they were rough and rowdy cowgirls, and they did him wrong.
With all that behind him, Avery got a scholarship to go to this academy. His father lept at the oppurtunity for his son to become noticed and maybe famous. Without his father breathing down his back, would the boy take the chance to get away from his cowboy life and let his true self shine? Or will he just continue living his life as a lie?
Misc.: Avery loves history, it's his deep down passion, more than horses and rodeos.
