Brunette hair flew gracefully behind her as she entered the barn. Her polished black boots clicked across the concrete floor. Her flawless face lit up in a smile seeing the cremello gelding. The animal stuck it's white head from the stall, ice-blue eyes peering at it's mistress.
The seventeen year old stroked his face with her dainty hand before the animal turned away. She let herself in the stall and buckled the black leather halter over his face. The matching lead was coiled in her hand and she led him out. Being lazy, she led the cremello up to the cross ties nearest to the tack room. The animal's skin quivered as he was led to new surroundings, in so many ways, he was just like Chance. Davina felt guilty inside, as she hadn't paid the throughbred much attention since she got Phantom. But Phantom had better potential to make her a champion, to make her sit higher than the other girls at the academy who thought they were the best.
She ducked into the tack room and gathered the gelding's gear. She placed the hot pink pad on his back and the brown English saddle. She then slipped the bit in his mouth. Phantom chewed on it for a while, his ears swiveling as the sounds of adjusting leather straps. Once finished, Davina led him out towards the trails.
She muttered a quick curse word for forgetting to put suncreen on Phantom's nose and around his eyes. She wouldn't be out here long enough for him to sunburn anyway. Davina pulled down her stirrups by the entrance to Rocky Ridge trail and vaulted into the saddle. Cheerleading had actually improved her poster.Horse: Here (second one down) Outfit: Here

Andie skipped into the barn. "Hello my lovelies." She called as she bounded down to the stall that housed her large Percheron/sporthorse cross. Even though Jack was very much a gelding, his gear was all pink. Her mare's things were baby blue, but the chestnut horse wouldn't look good in pink.
Once the gelding was saddled, she placed her helmet on her head and fastened it beneath her chin. "Come on sweetness." She said as she kissed the gelding's nose. "Let's rock and roll." She removed the cross-ties and led the gelding outside. "Come on." She said to Harmony, the Putbull's stump of a tail thumped on the ground before she jumped to her feet and fell into step beside her mistress
At the entrance to the Rocky Ridge Trail, she pulled the stirrups down and swung into the saddle before tightening the girth and squeezing the grey forward. She watched as the canine took off along the trail, quickly vanishing into the undergrowth to keep out of the way of other riders that might be out on the trail.
As they ambled along the path, she pushed the ear plugs for her i-pod into her ears and pushed the play button. Her hips moved with the movement of the horse's stride which moved in time to the music - more good luck than good management.
The sight of a cremello horse caught her eye through the trees just before they rounded a corner. "Davina!" She called once she recognized the girl riding the horse.

The cremello gelding gracefully covered ground, his previous dressage training showing in his posture. Davina personally had no interest in the sport, but it made the gelding look better and more collected. Her hands were evenly set holding the reins, her small, long fingers gently grasping them like they were as fragile as a flower stem.
Her hair was down and free, and no helmet set upon her head. Her brown eyes gazed at the trail ahead. Fall would be coming upon the land soon, and the trees were starting to turn colors. Soon, they would lose their leaves and a winter wonderland would appear before their eyes.
The gelding's ears were generally in two positions, both forward, or one forward and one back. But both ears slanted back, and the rider knew there was something behind them. But before she could turn around, a familair preppy voice caught her ears. It was the cheer captain, Andie Simone. Davuina knew her attitude was preppy and arogant, but, she held a very powerful position the brunette could use to her own advantage. Plus, rumor had it, Andie was once a champion rider. She never heard what happened, it anything...
"Hey Andie!" her fingers pulled the reins casuing the gelding to come to a halt. She smiled easily at the girl, they could be best friends, or worst enemies. They could help get each other far, or try and take the fame for themselves. Davna wasn't sure what to choose yet, and she had a feeling Andie didn't know either. She eyed the pinto horse the girl road, "Very pretty horse."
