The Guys What was better to watch on Friday night than sports games? It happened to be a championship between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Boston Red Sox.
Clint kept the door unlocked as he threw some clothes under the couch and kicked some shoes against the wall. A quick knock on the door came to his ears. The veterinarian stepped in with a bowl of spicy queso dip in one arm, and a sack of chips in te other. His mouth was full. The officer rose a brow, "Sampling?"
Kirk snickered through his nose. He sat the food down on the dirty coffee table. But it didn't phase him. He swallowed quickly, "Yeah, I made that dip myself." At his statement, Clint walked quickly to the table and pulled out a tostada chip. He dunked it in the sauce and stuffed it in his mouth. His head bobbed up and down to show his approval.
Another knock came at the door and Zack walked through with Rance. They didn't know the other men real well. Kirk and Rance shook hands, then Zack was introduced, "Have a seat," Clint's australian accent stood out among the rest. He reached for the switcher and turned the TV on. The game would start in about five minutes. Hearing shuffling around in the kitchen, he walked into the rather tight space, knowing who was in there. Kirk handed him a beer from the fridge. Clint in turn passed it to Rance who was beind him. Rance offered it out to Zack. A mischevious grin crossed the young man's face as he reached for it. Rance swiped it from reach, "Are you even old enough to have this?"
"I'm 22." Zack answered as he took the glass bottle.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Chuck stopped in the parking lot in front of the staff dorms. For a moment he just paused and thought back to the conversation that he had with his daughter Melissa. He was wearing casual jeans and a t-shirt, with very clean trainers. Though Chuck will be Chuck, and he had stopped by the bar to pick up a worthy asset to spend the evening with. Life was bliss. Though he didn't know if he would change some of his habits for Melissa. This had been his way of life for nearly 14 years. Get wasted, party hard, have fun. As the two walked to his room, he noticed Clint's room was unnaturally loud. Then it hit Chuck in the face. It was game night! He couldn't pass up the chance to taunt Clint the Aussie freak. It was too difficult. So what did he do? Chuck walked up to the door, just opened it, but he didn't step inside. Hey Aussie, I hear you nearly got a student killed the other day. So why you still around? Chuck was an arrogant b@st@rd, but a hot arrogant -----. This time he was ready. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Notes: I just had to join!

Rance let go of the bottle reluctantly. As he grabbed his own beer, he slipped off his boots and took a seat on the couch next to Zack. He adjusted the ball cap on his head and he glanced at the TV, "Games on in a minute!" he called.
Kirk and Clint were just now walking back from the kitchen when the door opened. There was no knock. Though Clint wasn't expecting any visitors, anyone was invited. But as his hazel eyes turned, it was almost as if he saw the devil himself. The words of the man made his lips tighten in anger.
Granted, no one expected to see Bass here. Zack and Rance didn't know who he was, and their eyes were wide in surprise at what was going on, looking from Clint to Chuck. Kirk stepped up, placing a hand on his freind's shoulder, "Easy," he whispered. His brown eyes turned to Bass, "Why don't you just go back to your room and sober up." The game had started on TV, but not an eye was looking at it. As time went on, Clint's anger got stronger. He clenched his fist, veins starting to rise from his skin. He didn't almost kill her.... or, did he? Accidents happened... from careless mistakes.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Chuck laughed at Kirk's comment. So they did think he was drunk? That was just very funny. You know. That sounds like a great idea if I were drunk. Sadly though I am not. Sometimes it was just more fun looking for trouble than waiting for it to find you.
My my, someones getting angry. Did I hit a nerve? Chuck said, noticing Clint's fists. He has had many blue eyes, and another one wasn't going to make a difference, but he would be fighting back. If it came to that.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Notes: I just had to join!

Rance was clearly aware of the situation. Being a country boy, he had seen many fights take place. He kept his spot on the couch, for now, but was ready to spring into action. Kirk, seemed to be on the cool side, but being a vet, he was put under a lot of pressure at times so he was a bit more patient. The vet rose a brow, "Oh, my bad. Couldn't tell."
Clint was managing to control his anger. He had to take anger-management classes to work with the troubled teens he delt with. But all that seemed to fly out the window. The officer was falling into a trap, fast. This what Chuck wanted, he could only make things worse, "You weren't there you @sshole, you don't know what happened, not that you even care." His hazel eyes were a flame.

Kirk scoffed at the man's comment, "Okay, would an appropriate time be when your horse was in a life or death situation?" Healing animals was his life. Unlike Chuck, he had a career. After all, he was the only one on campus qualified to do surgery on an animal. He didn't have time to goof off all day. He barley had time to hang out with his freinds like this as it was. Bass needed to grow up. His brown eyes were calm, but challenging, in a scary way, almost in an unpredictable way. Like when a bull watches you out from the herd, would it blow you off, or decide you as a threat?
Clint swallowed. Why did this have to happen now? And, in front of new accuaintinces? Chuck was as good as a dead man. He was a excellent liar. Why should the officer believe anything that came out of his yap. There wasn't a reason, "Like h*ll you do," the officer shot back, "Oh let me guess, after screwing over countless women you actually give a d@mn about something?" His voice was sarcastic.

Chuck may not have had much of a career, but he was a trainer and breeder. He had ridden in the top shows in Europe, and was just like he was. He fled New York, and left behind a woman that he loved, but this was Kentucky, not New York. This was the present, not the past of the last few months. This was who he was now. Not the person before. Well at least I'm not alone every night, unlike you. Then it struck him again that he had a kid, and his insides recoiled in shame.
You don't know a f**king inch about my life. So how would you know about what I care about. Chuck would usually have walked away by now, he had better things to do than argue with a convict, but for some reason he stayed.

Notes: Convict= Chuck's nickname for an Australian. And I by accident deleted my previous reply =P

At the man's remark to not being lonely, Clint curled his lip. If he had been a dog, it would have been a snarl followed by a snap, "Doesn't bother me." He would have said more, but this conversation was just a waste of time, to everyone in the room. Louis Rodgers, from the Red Sox had just hit a home run. But no one seemed to acknowledge it, and neither Rance nor Kirk threw their hands up in the air and celebrated for being in the lead. Clint and Zack could have cared less as they were rooting for Arizona.
The Australian put a finger to his lip, he was getting strong vibe off of somethine, but he felt very confident now, and his words would more than likely hurt more than his fists, "Let's see, you party, have sex, sleep, probably eat, never do your job as a so-called 'coach', and I don't even know how the barn is still functioning you're in charge of. Oh, anything I missed?"

Rylee Gorman walked in, a beer in one hand, and a newpaper in the other. She looked up at the shouting and nodded to Kirk and his posse on the couch, then noticed Chuck and offered him a dirty glare.
She wasn't one to barge into a situation, but then again, sometimes she was. Even though Chuck hadn't ever played her, she would still absolutely love to throw a nasty comment or two at him. And Rylee knew how to throw words better than the pitchers on the television knew how to throw a curveball.
Thoth, who was always present at Rylee's side, hissed angrily at Chuck. A perfect oppertunity to make Chuck tick. Rylee sighed and looked at Chuck. "Quit irratatin' my cat with your... self. He's rather big, y'see, and I've heard cowards make fine delicacies. "

Notes: A little Rylee intervention was called for. Touchdown, eh?

He stalked silently into the staff dorms, his head pounding after a long day at the office. He was passing the lounge when raised vocals sounded from inside. Feeling nosy for once, he poked his head through the door and frowned at the sight. On the T.V was baseball. And there is me thinking there was something worth watching on. he offered, wrinkling his nose in disinterest. I was hoping it would be rugby. He glanced around the room at who was in there, not really recognizing anyone until his eyes landed on someone who resembled a bad smell to him. His orbs narrowed toward Chuck Bass, and then assessed the room again. Everyone seemed to be staring at Chuck, which amused the Welsh male. So, it's not just me you seemed to piss off then Chuckie boy. It seems to be the whole academy. he smiled slowly at the "enemy". His frame straightened up, amazed that his headache had left so rapidly. He decided to enter the room, planting himself by the only female in the room and because she was closest to the door. Dafydd Rees, New school principal. he offered his introduction to the room, not really caring if he got a reply. His eyes then went back to Chuck, wondering what on earth he could have done to annoy everyone in the room. The one who seemed most affected by him was the male who's vocals rang out in an Australian accent. Then it seemed the female, who was almost snapping at his heels. He couldn't keep the amused grin off his face.

Chuck glared at Clint. The man just got up skin somehow. It was annoying, but just as fun. “Urban, you left out one factor...my kid.” Chuck shut up just then. He had only talked about Melissa to Lestat, and now he had just blurted it out here. He had told Melissa today, and the reaction had been somewhat surprising. Very accepting, not to say the least. Chuck was a person born with enemies. Though, his ways included a PI and various other resources available to him.
Hearing a familiar voice behind him, Chuck turned around and saw Rylee, the farrier. Chuck snarled, though no sound escaped his lips. “I’ve got a suggestion for you. Take your "kitty", and stay out of it.”Chuck was not happy, he hadn’t meant to make a scene, no, wait, actually he had. There were enough people that he had pissed off, something that he did very well. He hadn’t planned the night to go like this, and he stared, more like glared at Clint. The doorway was blocked by Gorman, and her cat. Then he saw another figure standing there.
“It’s not Chuckie, its Chuck. Get my name straight. I might mention that pissing off people is my speciality.” Chuck decided that he would rather leave before he did something, and it got ugly. He leaned towards Clint, and said in a slow whisper, so that only he could hear. “Say anything, anything at all, and I will make sure you regret it.” He turned on his heel, and tried to leave, though the doorway was still blocked.

Apparently, life at Blue Ridge never got boring, Philip Grey decided as be paused in the corridor that led to his room-suite, hearing raised voices from around the corner. Slipping the small book he was carrying into one of his coat's large pockets, and dropping his room key in beside it, he let his curiousity get the better of him and went to investigate.
Arriving in time to hear the last few irate comments, he found himself peering in at the scene over someone's cat, which made him glad he hadn't brought along either Akhenaten or Hapshetsut. Scene, he decided, was certainly the word, as someone he recognised as Chuck Bass seemed to be intent on annoying everyone in earshot, from the Rylee Gorman - the farrier, he remembered, triumphantly, glad that his attempts to learn names seemed to be being successful - to the new school principal.
"Pity it is baseball," he said, tagging on to the back of a comment made several moments earlier, being careful to ensure that his tone was relatively light and friendly, not wanting to add any more fuel to the fire (which seemed to be building fne by itself), "Never a game I've managed - or really wanted - to understand." Noticing the determined way Chuck seemed to be making for the door, Philip hastily stepped to the side, "Were you leaving?"

Giana had cut her cast off; no surprise there; she also had a meeting with a meeting with a major record label in the morning, in the major city closest to the academy, luckily. Giana had been practicing like mad, carrying around her guitar and song sheets, trying to ace the chords and strumming. Giana followed the sound of raised voices to a dorm, the large grey bird perched on her shoulder rearranging his wings, nuzzling them with his beak. Giana walked cautiously over to the door where the ruckus was, knocking, and then stepping back, waiting for the door to open. [wearing: CLICK]

It seemed everyone and his dog- well, in this case cat and piled into the room since the incident first started. But Kirk's and Clint's mouths popped open in shock as Chuck blurted out he had a kid. Was it someone on the campus? They turned to each other, and could see the man regretted what he had said. But there was no time to say anything as Rylee, who was more of a man than some in the room, and the principal walked in, both dogging on Bass.
Bass leaned in and spoke to Clint, only his ears hearing the words. It was over for now. The Australian wasn't going to say anything else. His house was just invaded by strangers. The dip that the vet had made wouldn't last long at all now. Someone might have to make a snack run or something. Rance stood looking around the room at all the new faces. zhe turned to Zack, wondering what caught the boys attention so suddenly, but then a blonde lady entered the room, her perfume filling their nostrils. He understood the reason now.
