His chest heaved painfully as he shot up in bed, he began to cough violently, his oracles beginning to seep tears. He winced as a the feeling of razor blades being dragged down his throat assaulted him. He hated having a cold, and this was a bad one. It was a Monday, so most people were in class or riding. Here he was, stuck in his bed feeling sorry for himself. He wished Spencer was here, but he also knew he couldn't drag his boyfriend away from his studies. Jay glanced down to see Cookie looking up at him nervously, wary of her masters hacking sound. Jay smiled gently at her, patting the bed beside him. She threw herself up onto the space, snuggling tightly into his side. He sighed in contentment, her body heat welcomed greatly. He hadn't realized he had been shivering until he had relished in her heat. He dropped back onto the bed, his blankets being pulled tightly over himself. ”I feel awful, Cookie.”
His voice broke as he started off into another coughing fit. The young cattle dog flinched, looking at Jay with concern. Jay croaked painfully as another assault of coughing rocked his thin frame. He didn't usually have much meat on his bones ever, but over the past two weeks he had almost sunken to painfully thin. After all the drama that had unfolded in front of his eyes, there was no wonder. Now he had a half brother, he had scared Melissa which he deeply regretted, and stormed away from Spencer. Jay groaned, bringing his hand to his pale face. He ran it down and then ripped it away when he coughed once more. He scrambled for the box of tissues placed somewhere on his bed, yanking one out to blow his nose. He recoiled away from the tissue, disposing it in the trash can he had moved beside his bed. He felt rotten, and just wanted to curl up and sleep forever. Yet, sleep evaded him. His brain thought over possible ways Hayden COULDN'T be his brother. Sadly, he started to believe the boy more and more. He whimpered in defeat, wishing Spencer was with him now. He needed his blonde haired boyfriend's comforts. He knew Spencer would be the only person able to cheer him up now. [/blockquote] NOTES: Poor sick Jay, bless him <3 TAGGED: Myssi! Spencer woke to a annoying meowing. Rubbing bleary eyes, he looked at Cheshire, who's eyes were on her own, her ears pinned. Spencer groaned. That was Cheshire's 'feed me or die slowly' look. The seventeen year old heaved himself to his feet and padded over to the door to go and get the cat food from down the hall in the Recreation room closet.
As the pair proceeded down the hall, Cheshire took the lead, as usual. She had to do this this, as Spencer would never be able to find the room on his own in his sleepy state.
But the cat took a differant course this time. Cheshire could smell Jay's changed state of health from down the hall, and so she took Spencer there instead. Spencer followed, not even registering the differant route. Cheshire oushed against Spencer's leg, signaling the cue that he was at the door. The blonde opened the door and his eyes as well, and looked around in surprise. He looked at Cheshire who'd immediately gone and jumped onto Jay's bed and was curled against the boy, purring happily.
"Ches, dear, that is not catfood." He told her, but made his way over to Jay, his brow furrowing in concern. "Jay..." He knealt down and put his hand over Jay's forehead, his heart racing frantically when his fingers where ignited with a spark of heat. "You are definately not going to class today." He told his boyfriend. "Ches, Cookie and I are going to be your nurses as well. No arguing." He kissed his boyfriend's forehead gently.

Jay looked anxiously as the door creaked open and felt the soft thump of paws against his stomach. He looked down and saw Cheshire, placing a happy smile upon his face at her arrival. ”Hello pretty girl.”
he croaked, tickling the area behind her audits. Then Spencer's vocals sounded, he noted the concern in his boyfriends vocals. ”To the first, I agree. But the second, I must disagree in true Jay fashion. You must go to your classes, what sort of example are we making to Melissa?” he argued pathetically, sitting bolt up right as another assault of coughing started. His eyes were now streaming tears, this round the most violent. ”Actually, I think I need you here.” he croaked finally, looking helplessly at Spencer. He then shivered. ”It's freezing in here.” he said through chattering teeth. Even with both Cookie and Cheshire's body heat, goosebumps were forming all over his skin. He also knew that he was boiling hot to touch, this worried him. Maybe it was flu, not a cold. He groaned, dropping back so he was laying down. ”Spence, I don't want you to catch this too. I wouldn't even wish this on my worst enemy.” He added Hayden and Chuck mentally, his brow furrowing. ”Actually, maybe I would.” he said, chuckling darkly even if it was hoarse in tone. He suddenly felt the urge to be sick. His small frame ripped from the bed, giving no warning to both animals. Cookie was dumped from the bed and looked around in a startled fashion. He heard the thump of her small bodice, but didn't look back. He flew toward the bathroom, throwing the door closed behind himself. He didn't want Spencer to see him throw up. His chest heaved pathetically as he threw up what seemed to be his guts. He tried to be as silent as possible, but the acid burned his already sore throat. He groaned in pain, his hands grasping his stomach. He was glad he didn't have long hair and suddenly felt sorry for girls who had to hold back their locks and be sick. He finally stopped, leaning back so that his head pressed against the cool ceramic material. His eyes felt heavy, closing involuntarily under the drowsy feeling. He slumped in exhaustion, losing his battle with sleep quickly.[/blockquote][/blockquote] NOTES: Bless him. TAGGED: Myssi! Spencer murmured in sympathy at his boyfriend's violent coughing, refusing to back away. Instead, he got into the bed with Jay, wrapping his arms around the shivering teenager. If he got sick from this, so be it. Jay was his current priority. Then, when Jay spoke of his enemies, Spencer frowned. "Stop being mean to Chuck. Melissa needs him." His voice was soft, serious, but tender as well. He ran his hand through Jay's messy bedhair, feeling the cold sweat from the sickness under his fingertips.
Suddenly, Jay covered his mouth and ran for the bathroom. Spencer knew exactly what was going to happen in there, and knew that Jay's pride wouldn't want Spencer to see his love in such a weak state. But, nevertheless, he still went to the door. Immediately, the smell of retch hit his nose, but he didn't waver, nor show any sign of disgust. He flushed the toilet and picked up Jay into his arms as he sat down, holding the smaller boy close. His blue eyes wandered over Jay's face, brow furrowing as he saw the most recognizable parts of Jay's beautiful face thwarted by illness. Fair skin was turned a pale, sickish white that seemed to be tinted slightly green. Where there were usually young lines of happiness, there were drawn crevices of tiredness. Remembering Jay's words of cold, Spencer gently wrapped an arm under Jay's legs and hefted him up bridal style, carrying him to the bed, then climbing in with him, his healthy body happy to radiate some of it's heat to Jay. Cheshire padded over to curl against Jay's chest purring and rublimg loudly to him, her small form pressed against him deeply.
Spencer thought back tot Jay's words of Melissa. She would soon be sick, perhaps sicker than Jay. She seemed as thoguh she was suffering from a sort of depression, as though she thought that Bass had rejected her. Spencer knew deep down, that no amount of he or Jay in her life would ever replace Chuck. And even now, Charles would never replace Melissa's mother either. Melissa craved a maternal image to nourish her, and who could blame her? She'd grown up entirely around men; being a girl raised by guys could be extremely awkward.
But, Melissa's grades were beginning to drop. She was spending time with Sham, but she wasn't riding. It'd been weeks since he last saw her pick up a pencil to sketch. She looked tired and withdrawn. Dark circles were beginning to form, and she seemed to be on autodrive all the time. He wondered if she was eating, sleeping, or if she was simply doing her studies then wandering around aimlessly at night. Spencer cursed Bas a bit, then he remember reprimending Jay for it, felt bad, and hugged his boyfriend closer.

Jay felt himself being lifted up in Spencer's arms, giving a feeble attempt at stopping the taller male. Unconsciousness then won over, no more protests about Spencer carrying him were made. As Jay was placed into the bed, the only disturbance was Cheshire placing herself back onto Jay's chest. Jay grumbled in his sleep slightly, and then curled up so that he was pressed into Spencer's side. Cookie took this chance to curl up into the crook behind Jay's legs, feeling left out from the group huddle. The boy seemed to fall into a dream world, his brow furrowing as he slept.
Three doors stood in front of him. All three had names above them. One had Spencer and Melissa. Beneath it had the downfalls of the room. This would be Chuck Bass. The boy snarled angrily, his oracles narrowing. The second door, the one in the middle, had his fathers name printed about it. Beneath it was Hayden's name. This made Jay's face pale, and he took a couple of steps back. The third had just one word. Alone. This had no downfall beneath it. The boy took purposeful strides toward the door, hearing the creak of the other two to see the figures of all the names listed on them appear. He looked at all five of them, yet portrayed no emotion on his face. He waved, and then opened the "Alone" door, being sucked into a black hole without warning. As he fell, he did not scream. But then, emotion hit him. Memories with each person began to play. The ones that affected him the most were the ones with Spencer. He called out desperately, wanting to grasp for his blonde haired male. He began to cry, racking sobs that he had never used before. He called out again, but it was hopeless. He knew he wasn't going to see him again. He sobbed as he fell, his figure becoming wrapped up into the black nothingness. He was now unrecognizable, just another black mass floating aimlessly in space. Not what he had wanted at all.
Jay jolted away, looking around in bemusement. Sweat drenched his body, and then his eyes fell on Spencer. "Thank god! You're still here!" he croaked, grasping Spencer's hand desperately. He had honestly thought he had lost his boyfriend for ever. He glanced around once more, noticing everything was still in the exact place it had been. He then realized he had just been dreaming. He huffed in relief. "Just a dream." he assured himself, looking back at Spencer just to make sure. This flu was honestly messing with his head. Jay fought sleep now, he sat straight up and wheezed a cough. He didn't want that to happen again. He knew that other people had worse dreams than himself, but that was just a pure nightmare for him. Losing Spencer was the last thing he would want to do. What possessed him to pick the third door was beyond him, but he sure hoped it wasn't a sign. His brow furrowed as he thought about it.

Spencer's eyes began to close against his will when he felt his boyfriend snuggled up against his side. His eyelids began to droop, contented in the slience of the room, which was only disrupted by the soft sound of Jay's quiet breathing. He began to sleep, his arms still wrapped protectively around Jay, though they loosed as he dozed away.
Then he was pulled closer to Jay suddenly, but he didn't fully awaken. Still halfway asleep, he pushed his head into Jay's chest and ribcage, mumbling, "No, don't tickle Bigfoot, Ches....." He curled up and tad more, still sleeping. As it turned out, Spencer seemed to be a professional at staying asleep, unless Cheshire meowed at him loudly enough. "I'm sorry, we're out of the purple mooses... Would you like a green one instead?"
At Jay's couch though, which had been kind of loud, Spencer opened his eyes. He sat up and looked at Jay, immediately pulling him close. "Need anything?" He asked tenderly, feeling bad about not wakening when Jay had.

He looked at Spencer in bemusement, a hoarse chuckle leaving him. What was he dreaming about? Obviously something much more relaxing than his own dream. Then Spencer awakened fully, pulling Jay close once again. "No, no. Just had a nightmare.." he trailed off, shuddering as he remembered it. Jay wasn't usually one to remember his dreams, but this one stayed in his mind. He looked at Spencer, his hazel oracles becoming pained. He didn't want to tell Spencer about it, he didn't want to worry his boyfriend. He cast his eyes down, biting down on his lip nervously. He coughed, a little more gently this time, and pulled his head up to sneeze into his hands.
Jay sat up further again, staring straight ahead of him. The nightmare wouldn't leave his mind, and he was becoming a little stressed out. Cookie raised her cranium to look at him, then adjusted herself so that her head was placed in his lap. He fondled her ears as he thought, did that dream really mean something? Something to expect. Tears pooled in his eyes at even the thought, he never wanted to lose Spencer. He ducked his head in ashame, it seemed that all he had done lately was cry. This wasn't right. Jay could see himself crumbling from his eyes, and he really didn't like it. The thought of going home seemed to grow fonder in his eyes, slip back into place at his old school. But, then again, he would be able to see Spencer or Melissa. He was torn, he wanted to get away from the academy for a while, but not forever. He placed his chin on his hand, leaning his elbow against his knee. Serious thought was in order. His chest heaved as he held back a cough, his oracles narrowing. This Jay had not been unveiled since, well, ever. He has always been so sure of himself, this confused him greatly.
