Alyss paced outside of the principle's offfice, unable to quit worrying, and unable to stop her feet from silently moving over the carpet in the shuffling motion of a human brooding and mulling over her ever racing thoughts.
No doubt Mr. Rees had heard of Alina's attack on Ashleigh Green. The violent reaction of the mare could be her elimination from the school, and Alyss fretted at the topic like a mother hen.
The small thirteen year old nervously nibbled on her nubbed nails, her teeth scraping at the tough tissue on her thumb. Alina was a horse who could not be tamed. She had been cleared to stay at Blue Ridge when Alyss had shown them that she could in fact be controlled, and assured them that until she could be safely socialized, as long as she was alone, she would be content to stay calm. Now, someone had gone and ignored the sign clearly on the fence, and the fact that Alina was seperated from other horses.
If Alina was to leave, the Alyss would follow. She could not, would not, let the horse be put down because of some bold girl who thought she was a magic horse gentler. Alyss would put her foot down for this, and would talk with her silence, fight with her quiet if need be. George and Julian would support her and Alina, and maybe some other student. Perhaps even some teachers.
The only thing Alyss failed to understand was why Ashleigh had so pointably ignored the signs of warning, and had approached the mare. The staff of Blue Ridge had made it clear to students that Alina was not to be treated like a normal horse. She was a wild animal, practically untamed and twice as violent. So why had Ashleigh blundered up to her, and caused Alyss' life to crash down in shattered peices?!

Dafydd had spent the good part of the day looking into a certain student and horse. Although he had heard of Alyss and Alina, he was yet to meet the pair. Today though, he was to meet Alyss. The girls horse had attacked another student in the pastures, and it would probably seem to be the end of her horses time at the academy. But, it wasn't. Everybody had been warned about the dangers of Alina, there was a sign clearly stating that no students or staff, except Alyss, not to go near her. Another obvious sign that she was dangerous was the fact that the mare was no where near other horses. Her pastures was alone. Dafydd knew the girl was pacing outside his office, he could see her shadow running up and down the frosted glass windows. The male clicked his fingers and Icey, the Alaskan Malamute, lumbered up from his space. He trotted toward the door and reached up to pull down on the handle. The door swung open and Icey trotted back to his space in front of the bookcase. Cedar had watched in wonderment as his companion did that, causing Dafydd to chuckle. He had been training Icey to do that since the canine came to live with him. It would soon be Cedars turn.
Come in Alyss. he called from his seat, picking up a notebook and pen and placing them on the other side of the desk. He also knew the girl didn't speak, so she would have to write what she wanted to say on the notebook. The dogs took no interest of the girl, they were used to people coming into their master's office.

Alyss kept up her mulling, her pacing becoming more frantic. She finally simply sat down and slung her head low, closing her eyes. She couldn't see any reason why Alina should be kept at the Academy, which meant she would have to leave. Luckily, she didn't have much to pack. Suddenly, Principal Rees' door open, and a friendly male voice, soft and Welsh accented called out to her. Alyss stood slowly to her staggering height of four feet three inches. With a straight back to speak for her panic, reclusive eyes and long hair to curtain herself behind, Alyss entered the teacher's relm. He was a well built man looking to be older than his twenties. His face held a sign of past pains, but he still managed to look friendly. He was not dressed as formally as she would have thought, but Alyss didn't mind that much. Two dogs lay in his office, off to the side, and the thirteen year old immediately felt a longing for Demetri. His support would have been greatly appreciated. As she sat down opposite the man, Alyss noticed a pad of paper and a pen in front of her. She felt immediate relief, for she wouldn't be awkwardly silent in front of him now. She then slowly met his eyes, her normally deaded gaze made lively by fear. Alyss was not emotional around teachers, but her blood was up as of current and her guard was slipping. She wrung her small hands, plae fingers tracing light and deep scars, eyes downcast in shame for Alina's behaviour. ~~ Outfit: LINK CLICK IT, CLICK IT!

Dafydd smiled as the girl entered, he wanted to assure her that she had no need to be worried. Cedar was immediately effected by the girls fearful air, and whined softly. Dafydd ignored the youngster, he knew he would settle soon. As the girl sat in the chair, her eyes lifting to meet his, his features softened more. Alyss, calm down. You're not in trouble. Everybody knows how Alina acts, this new student just had the carelessness to not read the sign which was well placed. he smiled at her. But, Alina's behavior may have to improve, if only slightly. Are there any people around the academy you could try to get her introduced to? Make her at least a little more people friendly. he ventured gently. He didn't want her to feel as if he was forcing her, yet he didn't want another of his students injured.
His hazel orbs now looked over the female, noting how small she was. He also noted the scarring which marred her. He knew she had been abused, it was his job to know that. To clarify Alyss, you have nothing to worry about. Alina is safe to stay in the academy, but if there is another incident I don't know how much more lenient I can be. he told her, his vocals more stern. This was "Principal" Dafydd showing now, before that it had been "Friendly, I'm going to help you" Dafydd. His hands placed on the desk, and his hazel oracles on her. Is there anything you need to ask? Anything you need cleared up? he offered, his features gentle and friendly. He threw a smile her way, he did have her best interests in mind, like with all his students.

Alyss stole a glance at the dog, then gazed back at Dafydd's relaxing slowly as he explained everything to her, nodding slowly. As he asked her if she had anything to ask, she simply picked up the pen and brought the paper toward her.
I've nothing to ask, sir, but I do have a report on Alina's behaviour. As of current she has been well-introduced to a student, his first name being Julian. (I'm afriad his last has slipped my mind.) She evn allowed him a short ride on her back, as long as I was present by her head. Also, she has briefly met with another student. I was present at both introductions, and though she didn't like the event much, she accepted them and did not attack. Also, she is getting better with other horses. She has been on a successful trail ride with a calm gelding kept at a distance, and does not kick the walls of her stall anymore when other horses walk past. She can relax while being groomed in the presence of other horses. I apologize for her behaviour toward Ms. Greene. Alina is very territorial if I am not around, and though she was introduced to Julian in her pasture, she has never met another human or horse there. I will most certainly continue to try and introduce her to people, and I believe a friend of mine is searching for a horse that may be able to be safely pastured with her. I thank you for your kindness to the pair of us, and I will try my hardest to be sure another accident does not occur, Mr. Rees.
She set down the pad and slid it across the desk to the man, her eyes serching his face for a reaction. She glanced at the dogs again, played with the cap of the pen, and bit her lip as the man read over Alina's progress report.
Suddenly, a thought hit her. What if she took Mr. Rees to meet Alina? She couldn't think of a better person. George knew Alina, but not well, and Julian could interact safely with her if Alyss was around. Perhaps the principal would want to meet her, and then he could convince other people to approach her with Alyss. It was worth a shot, right?

He watched her as she wrote, and then picked up the notepad to read it himself. He recognized the name Julian, and also knew she was close with an older student who's name he couldn't remember. A few raised eyebrows appeared on his face while he read, but it all seemed acceptable. Okay Alyss, you are off the hook. he smiled, sliding the note pad back to her. He watched as her expression changed, as if a light bulb had appeared over her head. What are you thinking? he asked, his expression amused. He sat back in his chair, watching as Cedar hesitantly made his way toward the girl. He chuckled. Took you long enough, boy. he smiled at the youngster. Cedar always tried to make friends, he was much more in your face than Icey. He pressed his muzzle into Alyss's small hand, his big brown oracles looking up pleadingly. Dafydd knew she wouldn't mind. He had seen her around the academy with a big wolf like dog. His attention diverted back to Alyss, wondering still what she was thinking.

Alyss quickly began writing again, her eyebrows furrowed in concentration, her lip inching between her teeth again. The pen jabbed at the paper in a furious manner, as though Alyss was nervous of what she was putting down.
The girl suddenly felt a dog paw at her jeans, and she jumped a little, startled. She looked down at Ceder, and smiled, briefly putting down her pen and kneeling beside the dog. Ceder wasn't quite as big as Demetri yet - Demetri was the size of a fully grown wolf - but he was a larger dog.
She gently ran her fingers through his silky fur, smiling at the dog, moving her other hand up to scratch behind his ear. Alyss may not have been much of a people person, but dogs and horses were her niche. She interacted well with them, and could sometimes seem more social with a dog or horse than with a human. Her psychiatrist hadn't been too concerned with this behaviour, like her social workers had been. He'd explained how that trauma of being shot by her own mother, who's intentions had been to kill, had not only stolen the girl's voice, but had also emotionally cut her off from humans from then on. The reason she could act well around males was that she didn't see men like she saw woman. Alyss, he had explained, had a complicated, in-depth way of thinking that could take weeks, months, perhaps even years to be fully understood by an outside person.
Alyss quickly scratched under Ceder's chin, then straightened to her small height and resumed wrinting, finishing her comment, then sliding the pad over to the man once more.
It was merely a thought, sir, but I was wondering if... You could maybe... You know, meet Alina yourself? I promise I'll control her. It's just that if a person of power were to meet her, people might be willing to try and socialize with her, and get her used to being around others. It could be very progressive for her, and would help her calm down. I could also have her meet with people's horses.... It's just an idea, I know that it's illogical, but I didn't see any harm in suggesting it.
