Evangeline grumbled, leaning her forhead against the steering wheel. The traffic had been backed up for over an hour and she was getting sick of being sick of waiting. The trailer hooked to the back of her rusty old pick up rumbled making it apparent that neither Lady in Red nor Peanutbutter Jelly Time were enjoyinh the wait either. "Aw, come one!" She honked her horn twice. Blue Ridge Academy wasn't far, she could almost smell the leather saddles and hear the drama from here.
Evangeline gasped as the car infront of her crawled forwards at a sickly slow pace. AT least it was movement, nevertheless. But soon enough the traffic was flowing as it should and Evangeline was pulling into the Academy's drive. She smiled and inhaled the sweet sent of horses. "Alright, guys! We are here." The red head climbed from the truck, walking to the trailer. These two horses were a gift from her aunt for getting into Blue Ridge Academy, so they were quite new to her, but she didn't care. They were currently her only friends. She quickly glanced to in the trailer. Pee-Bee seemed rather content, but eager to get out. Lady on the other hand was trembling and sweaty, the poor thing hated trailers. "I'm sorry, baby. I'll get you outta there soon enough." Eva left the trailer and headed for the office, eager to get her life at the Academy going.
The office was seemed small and quiant. She walked to the desk, smiling politely. "Hello, my name is Evangeline Reeves, I have applied her as a student and possible barn hand." She looked over the secretary, almost rudely, waiting for a response.

A plump black woman sat behind the large wooden oak desk. Her head was slanted with the phone staying on her shoulder as her melodic voice filled the empty room. The conversation ended and the phone was put back on the reciever as the door opened. Big brown eyes quickly casted a look to the door as a red headed girl walked in.
The receptionist wore a name tag that said Betty, and her face lit up into a bright smile, "Hello dear! Welcome to the academy!" she greeted, her wholesome Kentucky accent filling the distilled air, "I'll pull up your itenerary right away." Her plump fingers quickly began typing on the black keyboard, "And you brought two horses, correct?"

Evangeline forced a polite smile for the secretary, she was way too happy for one human being. "Yeah, thanks." She shrugged her thin shoulders. Evangeline, herself, had an thick southern accent from Louisiana. Having being born and raised in Lousiana until the age of seventeen. Eva leaned against the desk, waiting, rather impatiently. "Yeah, two horses. A mare and a gelding." The lady meant well, Evangeline knew that, but why be polite when she was taking so d**n long. She cleared her throat, looking to the lady's computer. "Hate to be rude, but may I ask how long this process will take? I have a spooked horse in the trailer..." That was true, her poor mare was slick with sweat but she was mainly using it as an excuse to speed up the woman's way too happy greeting ritual.
