She clutched her file tightly, her other hand clasped around a steaming mug of coffee, the mug was her favorite. Her lucky mug if you will. It was dotted with small flowers and had a larger one on the inside. Her brother had given it to her when she turned thirteen. She smiled at the memory, finally reaching her classroom. She still had half hour before the class started, so she had time to write on the board for her students. She had no idea who would turn up for this class, German wasn't as widely taught in America as it was in Britain and the European countries. Her file was planted neatly on her well organized desk, the mug placed in the far right corner. She pulled back her hair from her eyes and let it fall loosely down her back. Her long pillars carried her easily toward the white board, she picked up both the blue and red marker pens resting in the holder. In the top left corner she wrote her name. Frau Danson was written in elegant script. Frau meaning Miss, it was important that her class knew the basics. Today she would be teaching them how to say their names, to be able to ask how are you to begin with. Then they would start on weather. Normally she would start with ages, birthdays etcetera. But, as they weather was so beautiful today, she decided to mix it up.
Was werden Sie genannt? - What is your name? Ich Heisse ______ - My Name Is ______ Wie geht es Ihnen? - How are you? Ich bin ______ - I am ______ Gut - Good Langweilig - Bored Kalt - Cold Wütend - Angry Glücklich - Happy Sehr Gut - Very good
Any questions, please raise your hand. Copy all of this into your books or files, and then we shall practice.
Her hand glided along the board, Her first two questions and answers were complete. Her frame leaned back to admire her work, a smile on her lips classes as approval. She nodded to herself and then retreated to her desk, sipping her coffee. She thought to her Shetlands as she awaited the arrival of her class. Teufel especially had been in a good mood this morning when she went to see them. The normally sour equine had greeted her with a nicker. She had found it strange. She scolded herself and swept back into the present time, she had to concentrate on her class, not her horses, right now. But, she still couldn't help but worry about what the little devil was up to.

Cara headed toward the language classrooms of the Academy. Today she was headed toward the German room, she had yet to work out why she was attending this class as she didn't exactly need help in speaking the language - it was more to have a class to attend so that she didn't draw anymore attention to herself than needed to be.
She drew in a deep breath before she walked into the classroom. The female teacher was sitting at her very tidy desk - something that made Cara respect the woman instantly. The girl took in another breath. "Guten Tag, Meine Dame. Ich Heisse Cara-Jean. Vielen Dank für Erlauben mich, Ihre Klasse zu besuchen." Her words came out clear and without hesitation. She glanced around the room. Gibt es irgendwo vor allem Sie möchten mich, zu sitzen, oder können ich meinen eigenen Sitz habe gewählt?
Translation: Good afternoon, Ma'am. My name is .... Thank you for allowing me to be in your class. and Is there anywhere in particular you would like me to sit, or may I chose my own seat?

Being the sort of person who tended to sign up for every class she possibly could simply because she enjoyed learning (yes, she had in fact been called 'Hermione' on more than one occasion, something she'd always been secretly a little proud of, given that she'd always been one of her favourite fictional heroines) it shouldn't have come to that much of a surprise that Jess was the next one to turn up in the classroom. German was going to be an entirely new language for her - at her previous school, she'd been studying Spanish - so she was expecting to feel rather out of her depth for the first while, especially as languages weren't really her strong point unless they were English - sciences were more her forte. She was the type who learned her languages through sheer hard work, rather than any innate skill.
Entering the classroom, here eyes were immediately drawn to the colour-coded words on the board. Well, looked like even she could handle that, and the organisation of it all comforted her. Unsurprised to see Cara there first, she followed the older girl's example and remained standing, offering a tentative smile to Miss - no, Frau - Danson and wondering if she was a person who insisted on a seating plan, or something. Not at all sure, however, what Cara had just said she remained hovering rather awkwardly, hoping that the Frau would choose to respond in English or she was going to be utterly lost.

Max walked the still unfamliar corridors. He had entered the language section of the campus. Eventhough he was born German, and spoke the language fluently, he had no desire to learn another language. So he had made the obvious choice of...German. Stepping into the room he noticed the students that were there already, and the ginger haired teacher.
Max decided to go intorduce himself, rather than seem rude and make a bad first impression. Morgen die meine Dame. Ich bin Max. Carter. He gave her a friendly smile, and took a seat by a window. Max needed to look out at something, and not feel trapped in his surroundings.

She smiled at the girl named Cara. The girl addressed Raven in German, but the other girl stayed silent, making Raven determine that she spoke no German. Good afternoon girls, take a seat anywhere. Any trouble though, you shall be moved. She knew neither would cause trouble, so she offered the pair a smile. Shortly after they arrived, a boy arrived. She nodded to him, returning his smile and watched as he took a seat beside the far window. So far she seemed to have to fluent German speakers, yet they still felt the need to take her class. Comforts she supposed. There was still ten minutes before the class started, so she would wait to see if any other students would turn up. She began to scrawl down some of the weather vocabulary to copy up onto the board. She liked to be prepared, have everything ready before the class started.

Cara nodded as the female teacher spoke. "Vielen Dank, Meine Dame." She said as she dropped a graceful curtsy before walking toward one of the tables at the front of the room.
Sitting down, she carefully placed her satchel on the ground and opened it. Out of the bag, she removed a folder with German written in her neat script on the side, her pencil case and the case that protected her glasses when she wasn't wearing them. Putting the glasses on, she opened the pencil case and took out the red, blue and black pens. Once she had her desk set up the way she liked it; the folder on the center right, pencil case in the top left corner and the pens lined up in the top right corner, she picked up the blue and black pens, opened her folder to the first clean page and filled in the class information. Turning to the next page, she began to copy down what was on the board. Writing the German words in black and the English translation in blue.

Feeling a little outclassed as everyone else around her began to speak in an entirely foreign language, Jess wondered whether she was going to spend the rest of these classes being utterly baffled. Glad when the teacher took pity on her, apparently, and actually said something in English, she followed the instructions with a distinct sense of relief, dropping herself into a chair next to Cara, feeling that the support her friend could give looked like it was definitely going to be needed.
Pulling out her designated German notebook - she was one for notebooks over folders, as she found that she tended to lose papers out of folders, whereas notebooks kept everything together nicely - she also retrieved her pencil case, following the general example being set of writing things down in two colours by finding a black and a red pen, beginning to write down what was on the board, black for English, red for German. As she wrote, she debated the wisdom of telling Frau Danson that, unlike apparently the other two people present, she didn't actually speak any German.
"Uh, Frau Danson?" she ventured, carefully, decision made. "I, uh, haven't actually studied German before, so..." She trailed off, eloquently, with a shrug, and a rather worried expression.

Callum entered the room, blushing again. He knew he wasn't late, but it still worried him. Seeing everyone else seated, Callum sat down next to the other guy in the class, and offered him a quick flash of a smile. Pulling out the biro from his pocket, and retreiving lined paper and a plastic folder from his bag, Callum greeted the teacher quickly. "Guten Tag, Frau Danson. Ich bin Callum". German was a class which he felt comfortable in, he had passed his German GCSE in England last year. Although he wouldn't call himself fluent in German, he was satisfied that some people would be completely new to German, so at least he couldn't be last.
