Scar had been pacing outside the main office for an hour, awaiting the arrival of her two new additions. She stopped mid step when she heard the rumble of a car making it's way up the drive way. The crunch of gravel as the tires rolled over it was like music to her ears. She turned to meet the bright yellow Volkswagen beetle come into view. She grinned at the car, charmed by it's friendly color. The woman smiled at Scar through the windshield. She skipped excitedly toward the vehicle as it stopped, awaiting the woman to pick herself from the car. The female is rather boisterous she chuckled, scooping the pair of basset hounds from the back of the car. Scarlett grinned, glad that she would have these two to keep her busy for the day. She had already worked with both Mimic and Desire, Dakota and Paddy would have to wait until tomorrow. She was yet to see Jack, but was sure he would come and find her if he needed her. So, the rest of the day would be devoted to being sat on the field and thinking up names for her new puppies.

She took the male from the woman first, tucking him neatly under her arm. He promptly fell back asleep, making the woman comment about him being a typical man. Scar then pulled out the cash she was using to pay for the pair from the waist band of her skirt, handing it to the woman before taking the female from her. The woman confirmed that it was the right amount and waved as Scar turned to make her way to the field. The female was insistent on showering Scar with kisses as they walked along. The girl laughed happily, glancing down occasionally to check on the sleeping male.

They finally reached the field, Scar deciding to sit in the furthest corner. She lowered herself so her legs were crossed, placing the male in the gap. He rest his cranium against her shin, dozing off once again. The female looked around hesitantly, looking back at her new owner occasionally who nodded encouragement. She took a couple more steps forward before whining and turning to leap straight back into Scar's arms. She laughed, ruffling the floppy ears of the basset hound. Now, what should I name you. she pondered aloud. She liked Eden for the female, yet wasn't sure. Eden and Markos? she asked aloud. Now she wished she had someone around to help her decide. As she pondered names, the female chewed on her fingers gently. Scar moved her hand slowly through the grass, causing the youngster to pounce playfully upon it. Scar giggled happily. These two were soon to become an official part of her expanding animal family.
