Life had been a blur for the past month. School had been overwhelming and Juan had been spending every spare moment training. His mare Luna would now except all the tack needed to ride and he was thinking about starting to get on her next week. He couldn't wait to start riding her.
Since today was saturday Juan had spent the morning at the barn. He had groomed and Lounged all three of his horses. Now that he had finished that part of his morning he found himself sitting outside the pasture gate watching his two mares. He had brought his guitar with him, had been having the urge to play it the past week. He decided to strum a few notes for his mares.
He picked up a familar song and let his mind wander as he played. Soon enough he was singing along. "It's your love,

" His voice wasn't anything near a profesional singers but he could stay on key. He sand the rest, thinking of Addy the whole time.
He realized just how much he missed he. He hadn't beenable to spend any time with her. He decided he would txt her, it wasn't the most romantic thing in the world but he didn't want to inturupt her if she was riding or someting.

" Hey Addy its me. I know we

arent mad at me"

Sending it he sighed, he really wanted to see her. So there he was sitting in a fold out char, some much boots and wranglers on, his acustic guitar in hand with a loose white tee shirt on. Just waiting for his world to give him another chance.

hoof beats where music to the girls ears. She gripped the sides of the gelding with her legs, she was riding bareback and she could feel the muscles of her horse as he trotted easily out of the tree line into the grass where all the pastures lay. There were fence lines for as far as you could see with horses dotting the green with all different colors. It always amazed Addison how horses could be so much alike yet so different at the same time. She lightened her grip on the leather reins, her jeans gripped the black steed, He snorted holding his head high as he slowed to a walk. His dark eyes wandered across each horse he nickered greetings to each one he passed but many didn't respond. Addison hadn't heard a word from Juan in weeks, no matter how many times she called shes never got an answer and when she went to his dorm he was never there. She even got worried enough to call the local hospital but they had never heard of him. Tazz of course was happy to not have Juan around and Diamond happened to miss him just as much Addy did. Keshet just didn't really care much of Juan but didn't hate him as much as Tazz did. She patted the black steeds neck as he picked up to a trot. Addison had a pasture right next to Juan's for her horses. She had let out Diamond and Keshet this morning. As they came into view she could see them standing near each other grazing. Their coats were shining from their recent grooming. Diamond was smaller than Keshet. She was a small 16 hand and he was a tall 16 hand.

The black and white painted quarter horse mare through her head up as she saw the familiar figure sit in the lawn chair. She trotted her tail high and her head high as she came to a stop at the fence line. Diamond put her head over the fence looking over at the man that had come to spend every waking moment with her master, however recently he had come to ignore them all. She nickered towards the male. The gray gelding lifted his head looking over to where Diamond was nickering seeing the man sitting there he just snorted. He was better about being around men now but he didn't enjoy being around them. He lifted his head as hoof beats got his attention in the distance the black steed and the gelding had made his friend was trotting forward with their blond haired master sitting upon his bare back. Tazz wasn't even sweating when they came to a stop at the front of the pasture where the gate was Addisons eyes wandered towards the two mares in the Juans pasture before looking at where Diamonds eyes just happened to be wandering. The man was wearing jeans and a white t-shirt along with boots. Addy was too but hers had BBRA written in big bold black letters across the chest. She hopped down from the tall steeds back, pulling the bit from his mouth and the head gear off letting him into the pasture. His shining black body running to be reunited with his gray thoroughbred brother.

Addison walked over to Juan the head gear thrown over her shoulder, she seemed calm and collected but inside she was falling apart. "Long time no see" you could tell by her soft but hurt voice that she was very upset with him at the moment. She brushed her blond hair behind her ears staring at him with her big hurt blue eyes.

When he saw Diamond he smiled. Setting down his guitar he got up and gently patted the mare. She was one of Addy's sweeter horses. The gray gelding farther out in the pasture wasn't mean to Juan. But Juan knew not to expect affection from him. When he head hoofbeats he looked up, a large black horse was coming towards him, rider aboard his back. It took only a few seconds for Juan to realize who it was. He watched her get off Tazz and let him into the pasture. When he finally heard her voice he sighed. The hurt was obvios in her tone. Juan didn't try to hug her, as much as he wanted to. "Im sorry. I have been taking a few classes at the school, then i started Luna's breaking process and then War and i have been riding crosscountry everyday and Rage insist on doing both dressage and show jumping... I have just been going going going. I knows its not a excuse for not being around..." He felt guilty of course and he just wanted to hug her and make it all better but he knew it wasn't going to be that easy. He looked over at her, not sure what to do at this point.

He was stroking Diamonds soft forelock as she stared at him like she was about to cry. Addison was always a girl that cried about just about everything. She was sensitive and shy. She just just walked over to the fence lines where three leather lead ropes where hung on the wood. She grabbed a black one that had a metal clip with a chain. Addy passed her thin fingers over the leather as she walked over to the gate. Diamonds big brown eyes shot towards Addy as she walked. Diamond could tell by the look on Addison's fragile face that she felt sad. Of course the horse couldn't know why but that didn't mean she couldn't understand when her master wasn't feeling the same. She pulled from the mans touch trotting over to the gate. Addison fumbled with the chain that was holding the gate closed, She walked into the paddock shutting the gate behind her. Diamond standing beside her as soon as she walked in. "Hi pretty girl." she cooed at the painted quarter horse. She walked out into the middle of the large Paddock where Tazz and Keshet where grazing together. Tazz paid no attention to the slender girl coming over to him, he knew it was Addison and she was the only one that Tazz would ever trust. Keshet lifted his head watching the girl coming over to him. Addy ran her fingers down the neck of the tall thoroughbred. Clipping the lead rope gently onto his halter. He was an easy horse to lead staying right at his side as she walked him back over to the gate where Diamond was staring at her master. Leading the thoroughbred out of the paddock she shut the gate fumbling with the chain lock again to get it to close. She walked him over to where she was standing previously, she looked at Juan tears starting to rim her eyes. "I have had stuff to do too but i never put you at the bottom of my list," she said amazed that her voice didn't even crack.

Juan watched Addison. He wasn't sure how to respond to anything she said. He had never been in a situation like this with her before. He watched her go catch her thoroughbred gelding. He just sighed trying to think about what to say. War had wandered over the the fence and she stretched her dark bay neck as far as it would go just to nudge Juan's shoulder. She knew it would get his attention. He turned and looked at her gently patting her bay head. When he took a step closer to the mare she gently nuzzled his cheek. He sighed and patted the mare before turning around. It had been a few minutes since Addy had said anything. Turning to look at her he noticed her eyes were filing with tears. "Its not like I intended for this to happen Addy... I know its my fault and I appologize." He said. He wouldn't let his emotions show his face was set and he didn't dare show how hurt he was. He knew it was his fault but he elt guilty about but he still couldn't change it.

She watched him rubbing on his mare. It took every bit of self control not to run into his arms and just cry and cry. She sighed looking at the ground as he spoke, his words dug into her. It was like being slapped in the face. It stung. It was as if he had just told her that she was stupid. Addison let out a ragged breath before looking up at her tall Thoroughbred gelding. He was staring at Juan his nostrils flared. Being around Avery had gotten him more used to men, but Avery was the only man he would show affection to. She looked over at the fence line where Tazz had finally came to join them all. His thin black ears pressed against his skull snorting angrily at the man before him. His hooves stamping into the grass as if he was about ready to break through the fence. Addison knew he would be okay when Juan actually left so she didn't make a move towards the gelding. It was dangerous to mess with the thoroughbred when he was upset like that. Diamond was still by the gate staring at the stand off between her master and the man. Addison finally got the courage to look at Juans face and what she found she resented. No emotion. She was about to cry her eyes out over this man and he was standing there as if it were no big deal. "If i didn't mean that much to you in the first place you should have let me know before i fell in love with you" She screamed, she let it out, she couldn't help it. Her shy nature shattered by the resentment flaring in her soul. The Gelding jumped a little bit at her loud voice. All the horses eyes were now on Addison. She had never much spoke over a whisper and here she was screaming her heart out. She tugged on the lead rope gently not trying to be mean to the gelding, he wasn't the one he was upset with right now and she wanted to make that perfectly clear. She turned away from Juan leading the gelding towards the path that lead up to the stable. Tears flowing down her cheeks now with nothing that she could possibly do to stop them.
