Her fingers threaded through the cream mane of the Hungarian warmblood. Digger snorted contently, for once enjoying the company of his mistress. She beamed at the temperamental gelding, untangling her fingers to pat his thick neck. She had just finished grooming and feeding the perlino brute, and was now about to take him out into the pastures. She stooped down to pick up the head collar which had fallen off the door of Digger's stall, then placed it on his broad cranium with little protests. The gelding followed her from the stall in a state of boredom, his hooves dragging lazily against the ground as they moved.
As they left the barn, the still warm autumn sun caressed her pale face. A slight shiver of pleasure ran down her back, this was easily her favorite time of year. As they walked, her blue oracles danced over the changing shades of the landscape. The yellows and oranges began to dust the leaves on the trees, the grass was already beginning to brown slightly. She also noted that not as many horses stood in their respective pastures. The two pastures neighboring her own were currently empty, this was good. Digger wasn't the most sociable and preferred to be left alone. The female reached the pasture and opened it, allowing the gelding to make his own way inside and her following. He hesitated briefly, and then pulled her inside. His frame held still, allowing her to take the head collar from him. He then plodded off lazily, casting a glance over his shoulder, and then settling to graze.
Summer, in no hurry to leave, pulled herself up onto the fence. She perched steadily on the wooden material, watching Digger as he grazed contently. She enjoyed the peace and quiet, the most she had had in a while. She usually go disturbed by students, co-workers or just male staff trying to get some. This was really starting to annoy her, yet she didn't let it show. The good thing was, that she hadn't even thought about her past since moving here. Sadly, she didn't know how much this was going to change.. And soon.

His arms pumped at his sides, and his lunges pushed air in and out of his body, this forced heart beats and blood flow—but his mind was not working so easily. When was he going to see her? Did she know that he was here yet? What should he say to her when he saw her? He was running and thinking, his breaths coming out in heaved sighs. He began to sweat as his run kept on, large grey stains growing under his arms and across his back. His tan skin was becoming an even blush color as he ran on, and his feet were creating a rhythmic beat against the pavement, as he ran through down town. As he went he pushed people out of his way, not stopping to here the threats yelled after him and not pausing before hand to mutter a simple “excuse me.” Oh no no, Theo did not have time for things like that. He only refrained from this run once, and that was to pull the now soggy sweaty tee shirt off of himself. So Theodore found himself standing still in the middle of a sidewalk. His was breathing heavily, and his whole body was thumping along with his heart. The grease he had stupidly slopped into his hair that morning was running down his pink cheeks, and he was forced to squint to keep the stinging mixture of sweat and grease out of his eyes. Yet even when a man should look gross and disgusting it seemed impossible for him. As Theo began to tug the thin layer of cloth off of his perfect sculpted body sudden awkward giggles erupted around him; heels clacked slower along the pavement to watch him strip; and women rushed away in embarrassment as their faces turned red. To this explosion of sound Theodore offered the world a wide smile, and a few nods towards the women who ventured closer to him. He appreciated the attention, he really did. As their eyes outlined the shape of his bulging muscles, Theo pulled himself up straighter. As they drew nearer to gaze more intently, he puffed out his already large chest. And as a few women drew the courage to actually speak to his god-like creature, Theodore threw himself forward into his long gated run. The trick with women—he knew—was to always remain an untouchable to them. He must always be their fantasy. They could talk to him, ask for his number, go out on a date with him… But then he would be reachable; he would not be some far of distance hope for the future. He would just be another boy that would eventual show them the night of their lives, ending in a mind blowing sex. He would be the face that, that woman plastered onto every one nightstand and failure boyfriend. Honestly Henry was not the type that you forgot about—he was the one you longed for with out really needing.
He kept running, kept going, not really knowing exactly where he was going wearing only athletic shorts and sneakers. His arms began to move faster as he turned off of the main road and onto a side road. He could see the outline of the barn in the distance. A new thought drummed against his skull. Over and over again, her name. He knew that she liked them, he figured that she had one here. He slowed down as the road began to weave around the barn taking him out past the pastures. He could see the outlines of horses, and people leading them around. Suddenly, he pulled in a breath of surprise. There she was, Summer. She was standing leaning over to talk to a horse. Why should she talk to a horse when he was around, didn't she see him? He turned off the road and ran through the grass before he hit a dirt path. He took a moment to compose himself, before going up to Summer. He wiped the sweat from his face, and shook his head. Quickly his hands ran over his muscles, down his front, around to his back then up and down his arms. His skin felt warm from running, and his muscles pulsed to the beat of his slowing heart. A dazzling smile plastered to his lips as he took three long strides towards Summer. He leaned his elbows on the fence three feet down from Summer.
"Hey," his voice erupted forward into the quiet ,"fancy running into you here"
He was trying to be charming, and he would have been charming-- to almost any girl. He didn't know how Summer would take it. She might scream, she might pretend to be clam, she might ask him to leave, she might not say anything. He smiled innocently at her, like he hadn't meant to find her while he was running. Sure his main goal for going on a run was working out, but he had wanted to find Summer. He wasn't going to approach her if she had been with someone, but she was alone. He shifted his gaze from Summer to the horse that was in the field. He was hoping that she would react negatively. he wanted to protest, say that he wasn't there to hurt her or see her, he actually hadn't know about her being here. He was different, he went to therapy. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Anything he needed to do to get her to trust him again, anything. He looked back at her for a second, quickly analyzing her before he looked back out to the field. She was still beautiful, and still not as attractive to him as other men could be. Of course that was a minor detail. All he needed was to know that she was still as attractive as he left her. And she was, there was no doubt about that.

She kept her eyes on the ground as she perched on the fence, shifting uncomfortably and then dropping from the painful wooden contraption. Digger looked over his shoulder and turned so that he was facing her. She smiled, and leaned against the fence once more. Digs, I have no idea what to do on such a beautiful day like today. I have the day off, and you seem content of just eating. Maybe I'll go search for someone to talk to, that will answer me. The gelding snorted at his mistress, and Summer sighed. She had no idea what to do with herself. Her frame tensed when she heard the gravel crunch beside her, forcing herself not to turn and look. A shiver ran down her spine, the person who had just arrived had effected her already. But the voice made her face pale dramatically, even if it didn't seem possible. Summer's skin was already a porcelain white color, this color signified pure dread. She looked from the corner of her eye, her lips clenching painfully as she recognized the form. Mental and physical scars automatically started to burn, marks that she had thought were long gone. No. she whispered, her vocals cracking.
The distance between them wasn't enough, she moved up the fence a little more. Even being on the other side of it from him wasn't enough, this measly thing would never hold him back. To someone who didn't know him as personally as herself, Theo would be like a god of perfection. But, she knew the beauty was just hiding the monstrous personality. She flinched as she remembered him beating her, recoiling further and further away from him. Digger picked up on the distress of his owner, his audits flattening against his neck as he glared at the male human. He picked up into a walk and stood behind Summer, his maw pressed against her shoulder. This would usually comfort her, but today her nightmare was too real. What are you doing here? When did you get here? The questions flew from her mouth without warning, her hand then flying up to cover her red painted lips. She hadn't wanted to speak to him in all truth, but her mind seemed to disagree. She murmured into her hand, unable to even recognize her own words. Tears began to sting her wide oracles, anger, fear and frustration. She thought she had finally left that part of her behind, and now he had followed her. Her life was about to tumble down before her eyes once more, for the third time in her life.

She was backing away from him, her eyes wide with terror and pain. Some how Theo felt comforted by this familiar image. Yes, she was older, yes the setting was different, but the expression and feeling was the same. He sank into the role of aggressor easily, His foot inched forward and his chest pressed into the wood of the fence. That brought him back to reality. He stepped back, a look of surprise playing across his face in perfection only an actor could master. He held up his hands, palms towards her and elbows in. It was the universal sign for "I mean you know harm." He backed up again, shaking his head.
"I'm sorry"
He stuttered out the words in a soft voice, his eyes directed towards the ground in a submissive way.
"I didn't mean to scare you."
He peaked up at her again, eyeing her horse, trying to read her expression before he looked back at the ground. He was thinking quickly, trying to figure something out. Had he known she was here? What did he need to tell her? Or should he even waste a lie on her? He spent half a second longer staring at his feet before he looked at her, a small frown pressing against his face.
"I just got hired as a sports coach... I honestly didn't know that you lived here."
As he said here he motioned around himself, looking all around before he looked back at her. He took one small step forward.
"I really am sorry"
