Full Name:
Blythe Raven Rhydderch
Nick Names:
Blythe… You can’t exactly make a nickname out of that, so a lot of people call her Raven if a nickname is required.
Student or Staff:
Staff. She is a the Horse Judging Instructor, hopefully, and is also capable of being the teacher for reining and western pleasure, and is also a trainer for western horses.
Age:
25 years of age
Ethnicity:
Tennessee born, Tennessee raised.
Gender:
Female
Physical Description:
Tanned from working in the sun most of her life, Blythe is the classic country girl. She’s worked with horses all her life, and though she’s not the most commanding figure in her small frame – she’s only five feet, four inches – her tone and confidence is quick to put you in your place. Her blond hair is more of a dishwater blond up close, but at a distance it’s a normal blond. Her body is twined with sinewy muscle, which gives her a good-looking body, but she doesn’t give herself time for men, as most of them are jerks anyway.
Personality:
Tough is one way to describe Blythe. She’s not one to be intimidated, that’s for sure. She’s bold and the classic western girl, but friendly with peers, even if she’s pretty quiet.
Background:
Blythe was born in Tennessee, in a saddle. Almost. Her first horse was born on the same day as she, and they grew up together. This certain horse was a chestnut colt with a blaze and socks. He was a TWH stud, and the child rode him for the first time when she was six, but the first time she rode a horse was when she was a year old. From that moment on, horses were her life.
Blythe and the colt she shared a birthday with developed a close and unbreakable bond from the day they saw each other, when both were seven months old. The colt was nicknamed Mechanic, and the name, though not show, was what he was called most often. Blythe and Mechanic competed in TWH shows, along with Western events like reining, barrel racing, pleasure, calf-roping, cutting, and horsemanship for many long years. The stud covered a few mares, but one foal in particular was kept for Blythe, a black colt she immediately nicknamed Blacksmith. She trained Blacksmith from the day he was born, when she was fifteen. She showed lambs and rabbits in her high school years, and was on the Horse Judging team.
Disaster struck her at age seventeen, when Mechanic was hit by extreme and aggressive colic. He was put down on the spot, leaving Blythe and Blacksmith alone.
She graduated from high school and went to college at Texas A&M, joining the Horse Judging team there as well, and the Stock Horse team with Blacksmith. She got a degree in Animal Science, specializing in Equine Science, and a degree for teaching. She was twenty one when she graduated, early, but she did some extreme studying. She trained for a few years, then saw a job needed at BRRA; a horse judging teacher. After a serious talk with Blacksmith, she ended up here.
Misc.:
Her dog is a collie puppy by the name of Blue. The female pup is about five months old.
