Hello students. I am Katja Keller, a new coach here at Blue Ridge. I specialize in Eventing we will be getting private lessons going, and school teams for eventers. Hopefully we will also be able to offer group lessons as classes for Eventing in the Equestrian Timetables.

Age: 17
Do you have experience in this sport: I had my first eventing competition when I was 7 - I wanted to compete earlier, but mom said that it would be best for me to wait another few years.
How much riding have you done? I've been in the saddle since before I could walk, I got my first pony at the age of four - well, he was a school pony, and I didn't really start riding properly until I was 5
How much competitive riding have you done? Lots and lots. Individual competitions and Pony Club team events

How long have you been riding this horse? About a year and a half.
How much experience does the horse have in general? He was briefly trained in eventing when I got him as a 4 year old, since then I have brought him on and he enjoys what he does.
Does the horse have experience competing in this sport? He hasn't done any competitions but is ready to prove himself.
Would you like to join a team and/or have private lessons? Team please.

Um, just to let you know. I gave up riding for a few years - until I started BRRA actually - when my mother and her horse landed on a jump that ended their lives.

How much riding have you done?: Been riding since I was 8, have owned a horse and ridden seriously since I was 11.
How much competitive riding have you done?: I've been competing since I was ten, mostly individual competitions.

How much experience does the horse have in general?: When I bought him he'd been trained in dressage and show jumping, but had never evented before. Since then I've been working on bringing him on in all the disciplines, and he's taken to cross country very readily.
Does the horse have experience competing in this sport?: Very little - one introductory competition.
