A notice was pinned to the bulletin board.
Welcome students and staff alike. I am a new staff member at Blue Ridge Academy. I am running a series of Exams, Certificates and Qualifications in a range of equestrian related activities.
There are four Stages of Examination for Riding, and similarily four Stages of Examination for Horse Care. These are open to students of any age, there will be a training course for each stage followed by the Exam.
I will also be running a series of Instructor Certificates and Qualifications. These start with a Preliminary Teaching Certificate, moving up to an Assistant Instructor Certificate, Intermediate Instructor Certificate and finally Instructor Certificate. There are age restrictions on these, although the first may be taken at 14 years, the second at 16 years, the final two can only be taken at 18 years plus.
The final three Exams/Certificates I am offering the chance to take are the Stable Managers Exam - which must be taken to complete the Instructor Certificate - and the Senior Coaching and Senior Equitation Certificates - both of these must be taken to complete the Instructor Certificate - although all three of these can also be taken separately. You must be 18 years of age to take these.
These are set out by the BHS (British Horse Society) but are recognized as achievements worldwide.
Please use the following sheet to sign up for a training course, and the examination at the end of the course which will give you your qualification.

ooc: In reality, you would need to pass certain Stages before taking further exams, but we are skipping this. For example you can sign up for Stage 1 & 2 together to get things going quicker, but in reality you would need to pass Stage 1 before doing Stage 2.
