Jude strode into the restaurant, looking around anxiously at the people. The place was mostly deserted, with a few people just eating in their own small groups. Gripping Serena's hand tightly, he walked up confidently to the hostess stand. The hostess was obviously well dressed, and Jude looked down upon his attire, feeling slightly under dressed. A quick glance over at Serena made him catch his breath slightly, she looked absolutely beautiful and definitely looked like she fit in the crowd.

Waiting for the attention of the hostess, Jude leaned forward and spoke quietly to the hostess. "Hello ma'am, reservation for Levens" Jude dropped Serena's hand briefly while the hostess looked down upon her seat to find their reservation. The hostess nodded slightly when she found them, then looked to find where their table was. "Right this way, sir."

The hostess smiled at Jude flirtatiously and gave Serena a disdaining look. Turning on her heel, the hostess began to walk towards the table. Jude wrapped his arm around Serena's waist, and began to follow the hostess back towards where his parents sat, waiting.

Following the hostess into the back room, Jude continued to follow as they approached his parents. Figures they'd reserve the back room.., Jude thought to himself. Jude easily spotted his mother quickly, with her vibrant auburn hair, neatly piled upon the top of her head. She was wearing a floor length crimson dress, and the jewelry was glittering in the diminishing sunlight. Jude was almost a spitting image of his father, with his blond locks sitting calmly on the top of his head.His attire consisted of a full suit, and his laughter was heard around the room, contagious.

Jude strode towards his parents, keeping a firm grasp around Serena's waist. His parents rose from their seats as they approached, and Jude could not keep the smile pent in anymore. "Hello ma & pops!" He exchanged quick hugs with them both, before continuing. "This is my girlfriend, Serena.." Jude's mother, Bethaney, rushed forward to squeeze Serena quickly and exclaimed. "Oh hiii Serena, I've heard so much about you!"

The drive to the restaurant had been quiet. Jude was a good driver, and Serena enjoyed the calm quiet of being in the Mustang. Her hair hadn’t suffered too much damage, and she quickly fixed it before exiting the vehicle. It wasn’t that she was vain; she just wanted to make a good impression. Together they entered Blue Waters, and Jude did the talking. The Maitre’ D, a female, obviously didn’t know Jude was still at school and did her best to flirt with him. Serena felt a small inkling of jealousy, but it soon disappeared when she saw that Jude was totally ignoring it. It wasn’t something she was used to. Jamie had flirted right back, but he still confessed his love. Stupid idiot.

The table they were taken to had a couple already seated. The man, Jude’s father, was a spitting image of Jude himself, and Serena knew where her boyfriend had inherited his good looks. The female, Jude’s mother, had red hair, and surprised Serena...By hugging her. Serena hadn’t really expected this kind of welcome, specially not one so warm. Hello,she said, her British lyrics saying audibly. Serena threw Jude an unknowing look, and answered quickly, Only good things I hope, she said to his mother’s comment.

This was a very awkward moment, and wondered what she was supposed to do. Most of her previous relationships hadn’t lasted long enough to ‘meet the parents’ phase. The obvious exception being Jamie. Serena really hoped this night was going to end well.

Jude grimaced slightly when his mother rushed forward so quickly to hug Serena. "Geez ma, let her have a seat before you ambush her at least." "Oh yes, I'm sorry Serena. Please have a seat. & of course I've heard only good things.." Her features lit up brightly, and she slid back down into the seat beside her husband. Jude smiled, and sat down across from his parents, saving room for Serena to sit in.

Jude's father spoke next, clearing his throat before speaking. "So tell us a little about you Serena.."

Serena laughed nervously, hoping that it wasn't easy to pick up. She slid in next to Jude and ran a few conversation points over in her head, though she hadn't prepared an answer for the one she was asked now. How could she answer truthfully? How could she say her past? If her past was what Mr. Levens was asking. She could slip on by it, and say that she had relocated from England because the states offered better science programs. Or that she wanted to see what was offered in the Equestrian world. But that would make it sound like she was planning on staying short term, and she didn't want to make a bad impression. So she did the best she could.

"Well, I moved from London because I was hoping to study at MIT in a few years time. England's science programs aren't the best, and the States was the next best thing. Being the horse lover that I am what, nothing seemed better than the Academy." She smiled after her monologue, grimacing inwardly at how weird her accent sounded. It was too British to be considered American and too American to be considered British. She knew that as soon as the holidays came round she would be going home, even it was just to strengthen her accent again. She would ask Jude if he would like to come with, or if he had plans with his family.

They seemed like nice people, but Serena really couldn't judge at that point in time. They had only been talking for a few minutes and everything seemed like it was going fine. For the sake of it, Serena really hoped so.
