His attire is simple, normaly jeans, work boots, and plaid shirts. Cory roughly stands at 6'1" and weighs around 185 pounds.
Personality: Cory, compare to younger years, is a very quiet individual. He would rather stick to himself than be with someone. Perhaps that's why he lost a wife and a girlfriend along the road. He had an addiction to alcohol, so doesn't drink, and he also doesn't smoke. Perhaps you're wondering what he does do?
Cory writes, he is a poet and a novelist, though none of his works have ever been published, or seen by another pair of eyes
History: Vaquero was born in Pasidina, Texas, to a Mexican woman and an English man. He was the first child of the man, but had six older siblings all living in Mexico, never to be introduced to. His father, seemed to not be all there, and the town folks rumored him to be crazy or a psychopath. His mother was very strict, and could barely speak English. Somehow, in the two bedroom wooden house, a family managed to stay together. His father drank all day, and his mother went out.
Cory went to the same school all his life. It was his freshman year of college, he started getting into trouble. He had friends that could illegally supply alcohol to minors. Cory didn't have any good role model to look up too. His family's last name always had a negative conotation to it, "Oh, he's a Salantez boy."
One night, he got caught at a party, and was taken to juvinelle detention center. In there, a deputy sheriff happened to study him out from the crowd of boys. This sheriff owned a major cattle company in the making, and was needing hired hands. Vaquero joined on. He worked at the ranch the rest of his high school years and was quite the horseman. He was gentle to them, and they loved him.
Upon graduation, Cory left town. He wanted to get out in the open world. He went off to California, wasn't that where everyone went? He married a woman after two weeks of dating. They got married in a Elvis chapel. This woman made Cory strive to work and be a good man. The first year, everything went along smoothly. But then, Cory got a job as a trucker, so he was gone a lot. His cheating wife was seeing other men while he was away, and one day, she got caught. Vaquero was infuriated, to the point where his wife called the police on him for beating up the man she was sleeping with, and Cory was put under arrest for attempted murder.
He couldn't afford an attorny, so remained in jail for a couple months, while his wife was signing divorce papers. Cory had never talked to his parents since he moved out. He was at a loss and went back home, only to come to a burned down house. His father was drunk, according to the newspaper, and he passed out home alone with the stove on. It was assumed he was dead. His mother, she had fled back to Mexico.
Cory had no where to go, and no place to call home. He drove to the bar, and curled up in a whiskey bottle. For five straight years, he was an alcoholic. He wound up in a bar fight, and was put in the hospital. The doctors told him to quit drinking, or he would die of liver cancer. But Cory only asked, "When?" It was clear he needed help. He was sent to a rehab center, paid for by the state. And after two grueling years, was released alchol free.
Now, at 27, Vaquero was turning his life around. He quickly found a girlfriend, but was hesitent to marry. She got tired of waiting, and left him a note with a yellow rose. He still thinks about her, and his poems are too her. He wanted to get reunited with horses again, and having no degrees to back him up, he was looking for low paying jobs at barns, stables, but then he heard word of an academy needing janitors, and he quickly signed on.
