Show Name: Black MajicBarn Name: BlackieAge: SixGender: GeldingColor: BlackBreed: Quarter HorseBreed Registry: AQHAHeight: 15.1 hPersonality:Blackie is a well rounded horse. He has had a lot of time put in him, and is not spooky. He can handle being put under pressure very well. Blackie is to the point where he can be ridden bridless, only by advanced riders. He is not horse aggressive, but is fed alone as he tends to kick at other horses while eating.History:Black Majic was born in Atlanta, Georgia. The farm bred and trained performance horses. Blackie was started as a two year old on cutting, but cows weren't in his particular interests. He was put up for sale as a three year old, and Toby purchased him for their reining farm. His mother, and him, trained Blackie for reining. They went to a competition in Tulsa (biggest reining event) and placed 2nd.
At age 5, Blackie had won to reserve futurity champion trophies. He was so well advanced, that Toby never used the reins, just his legs. It was six months ago, that he actually rode the horse bridless. They have not competed bridless, but plan to in the near future.Discipline: NRHA ReinerOwner/Rider: Toby Matthews

Show Name: Doc's StarBriteBarn Name: DocAge: FiveGender: GeldingColor: BayBreed: Quarter HorseBreed Registry: AQHAHeight: 15 hPersonality:Doc is a broke horse, but isn't very giving to the bit. Therefore, he is deemed a bit stubborn. He is a horse that tries, but the answer doesn't come quickly to him. He is rather passive, and is easy to convince that he is not the leader in a relationship. .History:Doc was bred in Idaho on a quarter horse farm. He was trained there for cutting and reining, doing okay in both events, but never great. After no success, he was put up for sale, and Toby noticed the horse online.
He read the description, and decided that the horse could go far, especially with quality bloodlines, it just needed to be slightly retrained. Doc seemed to understand the basic lessons, but he didn't seem to understand collection or how to give to a bit and break at the poll. But with Toby as his new trainer, he should be competing like a champ in no time..Discipline: NRHA ReinerOwner/Rider: Toby Matthews

Show Name: Playboy's JewelBarn Name: JewelAge: FourGender: MareColor: BayBreed: Quarter HorseBreed Registry: AQHAHeight: 15 hPersonality:Jewel is a good horse, she was broke as a two year old, but sat out in the pasture for the rest of the time. She is very green, and hasn't learned patience. She paws when standing tied, and in the trailer. She is not particulary goosey, until situations get tricky. She is quick to mentally leave the rider, and therefore is dangerous to ride.
Hopefully with time, Toby can straighten out the majority of these problems and turn her into a good trail and reining horse .History:Jewel was bred on a farm here in Kentucky. She was broke as a two year old for riding, maybe a barrel racing prospect becuase she did have some speed. But the trainer was getting older by the day, and couldn't give the time that the horses needed. With the economy rather poor, he couldn't get what he wanted for the horses, so he let them graze in the pastures. They were shod and fed, and that was about it.
The trainer went through a bad spell, and in order to pay a doctor bill, he decided to practically give the horses away. He would take what people offered. Toby heared about some cheap registered horses with good bloodlines, and he had to go take a look. He took Caylee with him, and the two quickly spotted the mare in the field. The trainer was honest, saying Jewel was broke, but didn't have uch work in the past two years. Toby asked how much the man wanted. He said two hundred dollars. In no time, Jewel was loaded up into the trailer..Discipline: Green Broke. Soon to be trail and non-pro reiningOwner/Rider: Toby Matthews
