Physical Description: With big blue eyes and dark brunette locks which are almost black, she has a sort of striking, indie chick look. Her frame is slender, and she reaches 5'6. She's quite muscled from riding and working. Her skin in pale, and her features delicate, except her nose, which is a little bigger. But it still doesn't look out of place. Her slender figure is normally coated in jeans and a t-shirt while working, and then a polo shirt and jodhpurs when riding. Her hair is left down and messy while not teaching, but when she is, she is all business. She makes a good impression on her students. When she's going out with friends, she scrubs up well. They could see her in the barns a few hours earlier, covered in dirt and scruffy as anything, and then see her while they are out, and she's spotless. She can be the most fashionable person, but usually she wears what she feels comfortable in, stylish or not.
Personality: Lexie is stubborn, she doesn't like to be told what to do and does things her way and her way only. She is very outspoken, not an ounce of shy resides in her body. She can be brash, and she holds no prisoners when you annoy her. Her temper is short, anything can set it off. But, while she is coaching, it simmers down. She knows she needs patience with her class, and tries her hardest. Her anger slips out at times, but normally she is able to keep herself in check.
Despite being, well a bee with an itch, she is fiercely loyal and very compassionate with people she loves. If you have done something wrong to one of her friends, family etc, she will hunt you down and you better go into hiding. She can be violent, not afraid to back away from a fight and never enlists someone else to fight her battles. But, she can be one to take things into her own hands and this gets her into trouble.
Animals are her forte, she loves them and they love her. They keep her calm, something which is very hard to do. And, she has the knack for rehabilitating animals. She has grown up doing so. This means she has enough animals to form a pack coming with her to the academy, and she makes sure she has enough time for each and every one.
Background: Lexie was born in the smallish town of Suffolk, England. Her parents had been running their Animal Sanctuary, which catered for dogs to horses, for three years already. Still small, they expanded yearly. Lexie worked there all the time, helping to rehabilitate the dogs and cats, and then the horses when she got older. She rode all the horses that could be ridden, and loved it. This meant that she was always begging to keep the animals in the house, and then her parents gave in and now all the animals which are safe to, wander around the sanctuary free, only kept in by the perimeter fence.
School was something Lexie despised, but she still went. She wanted to compete it and then go to university. She didn't know what she wanted to do, so stayed on until sixth form and gave up on the idea of university. Instead, she decided to take up coaching. Lexie had been doing Polo since she was ten, and has no decided that she wants to travel to America and start a team at Blue Ridge. The British female is also bringing a team of horses, some brand new and some she has trainer herself, with her to the academy for the students to use. She knows some may want to use their own horses, but she won't allow it. This is how she has always done the sport, and this is how she will continue. She is also doubling up as a groom, based on the fact that Polo is more of a summer sport and she will need something else to pull in money over the Autumn and Winter. There will still be training over these months, but not as vigorous as in the Spring and Summer.
Misc.: Has an array of pets arriving at the academy with her.
The newest arrival being Tiki. She is a Saluki/Border Collie/Whippit puppy who has been severely malnourished. She has just been given to Lexie by her mother to take care of. Tiki is only 3 and a half months old. Tiki is quite nervous but very friendly. She doesn't like strange people and barks frantically at them. But, once she gets used to them, she is fine.
There is also Winston, whom Lexie adores most of all. He is a Siberian Husky and has three legs. He had the one leg removed as a pup and his owners brought him to Lexie's parents animal sanctuary when they couldn't care for him any longer. He is now six years old and thriving. Lexie had begged her parents to let her have him, and they gave in. This wasn't to be the last time she did this. Winston is a sweetheart, he's so kind and loves fusses. He provides support for all of Lexie's other animals, they all adore him. Tiki is currently the animal he has taken under his wing, she follows him every where.
Third in her pack is Mocha. She is a three year old Pit Bull/Boxer and something else mix. She has been with Lexie for two years now. She had been left tied up to a tree in her old owners home, and he had moved, leaving her there. She is a very nervous but would never harm a fly. She cowers behind Lexie when she is afraid, and doesn't leave Lexie's side unless Winston is around.
Fourth isn't canine at all. Ravioli is a beautiful three year old Maine Coon cat. He is easily the most abused of all of Lexie's pet, and honestly, the most mentally scarred. He is now seven years old and looks nothing like he did. But, you can tell he had been abused. He had been beaten and starved by his old owner so much that a vessel popped in one eye, making it fill with blood. He spent several months in the onsite vet at Lexie's parents sanctuary, and without them, he wouldn't have survived another night. He now does things that people cannot explain, he throws himself into fits of rage, which can last minutes or hours. Lexie knows it will blow over, and once they do, she will take the time to comfort him. This is all he needs.
The last pack member is another canine. Niko is a two year old American Pit bull. He has been with Lexie for just under one year and has had a horrific history. Born to a female fighting dog in a huge dog fighting ring in Britain, he had been beaten into attacking. Luckily, he never gave into the urges and before he could be used in the ring, the operation was shut down. Many dogs had to be put down, but some were lucky enough to be taken to Lexie's parents place. She fell in love with the plucky pit bull, who is also deaf, and has to monitor him closely. Instead of being closest to Winston, Niko adores Ravioli. The feeling isn't mutual, but the feline puts up with him. Niko is often seen curling up with Ravioli at night, only after the cat has fallen asleep.
