PERSONALITY:
Olathe is a quiet reserved mare in her stall, more of a gelding temperament than a mare. She's calm, level headed and very sweet. She's not too affectionate, but will have some when she feels like it. She loves to be outside, and winters out most of the time. To ride, she's a dream. She has a lot of patience and concentration, she doesn't go off track. She has beautiful movements and a long stride. She is quite flashy when she tries but she usually just gets on with the job.
She can sometimes be inquisitive and want to see what you're up to. She doesn't like being pushed away, which people rarely do as she hardly ever shows affection. She's very good with other horses and never lashes out, she could share a pasture with anything and be submissive. She would never try and assert her dominance unless she was really being targeted.
HISTORY:
Olathe has been bred by a top Marwari breeder in India, going for a very high price. Dak's parents are luckily wealthy enough to afford the gorgeous mare whom Dak is only just getting to know. The eight year old has been in the show jumping circuit for a little over four years, and has done well. She used to be ridden by the man she is pictured with, and also his daughter. Dak cannot wait to get her hands on the mare and start working with her. She honestly cannot wait.
