PERSONALITY: Dave is a little shy when it comes to meeting new people but also has a curious expression to his face. The gelding has never been an "in your face" horse, preferring to stay back unless it is Trevor coming. He absolutely adores his master and has since day one. When he gets to know somebody though, he really does begin to show his more friendly side and sometimes you may be lucky enough for him to come to you without having to be asked.

Dave isn't the brightest crayon in the box, but he makes up for it in the way he likes to observe things. He likes to know his surroundings before he gets going and is sometimes hesitant to do things. But, he is a dream to ride. He knows that when someone is on his back, it's his duty to keep them safe. He rarely spooks and hasn't ever taken off. He is actually a very, very good horse.

Although a large horse that could easily hurt someone, he really is a gentle giant. He would never throw his weight around and has never even attempted to bite or kick someone. He's a real softy.

HISTORY: Dave has been with Trevor for about fifteen years now, ever since he was a young colt. This meant Trevor has broke him and trained him to be the amazing gelding he is today. The pair have won many a competition but don't really take things that seriously. Dave does much better as just a pleasure horse, riding the trails and keeping himself out of the lime light.

BARN NAME: Queenie

AGE: Seven

GENDER: Mare

COLOR: Steel Gray

BREED: Dutch Warmblood

HEIGHT: 16.0HH

PERSONALITY: Queenie is stubborn while being handled, and doesn't really like being told what to do. While being ridden, it is a different story. The mare completely changes, focusing on the task at hand instead of playing up for her handler. She knows when she has a job to do and will do it. She relishes in the attention she gets when she wins a competition, it is her favorite part of the day.

Queenie is very, very intelligent compared to Dave. She knows how to wind up her owner and will do it mercilessly. She is the sort of mare that will purposely ignore you too, choosing to finish what she is doing before responding. Yet, she does like people. She just takes a while to trust them. Plus, having many owners in her short life has made her angry. She always seems to wonder when she will be moving again, which makes her mad.

HISTORY: Queenie is a new arrival to Trevor, and has only been with him for two months. The mare is his new show horse, and what a show horse she is. The mare has won countless competitions in her short seven years and will definitely do her new owner proud. She is a little sour after all the moving around but Trevor will not be getting rid of her, ever.

AGE: 22 years old

GENDER: Gelding

COLOR: Chestnut with white blaze

BREED: Welsh Pony cross

HEIGHT: 12.1HH

PERSONALITY: Charlie is a cheeky boy, but also nervous. You have to make yourself known to him, or he shall lash out. But, when he gets to know the sound of your voice and your scent, he is fine. He depends on Tallulah so much, and has to be kept with her at all times so the pair always share a stall. He can always be seen lipping at her tail to make sure she is still there.

He really is a sweetheart, even after the abuse he had suffered. Being blind, he never knew when the attacks were going to spring. Tallulah would try to alert him, but it was always too late. Sadly, the gelding is so forgiving, and he has never held a grudge against humans. Now, the male is getting older and his joints are starting to play up. He needs extra care, and to be honest, he relishes in it. Making up for lost time, I suppose.

HISTORY: Born blind, Charlie never had much of a life. It is surprising that he hadn't ended up in the slaughter house before now. The blind pony had been found by a kind woman at a horse auction. She took him, as well as three other horses and two mules, into a sanctuary which she and her husband ran. Sadly, the woman's husband has recently died, so Charlie and his companion, Tallulah, whom arrived with him, have to find new homes, the woman can no longer care for all the horses. She is giving away the ones would would easily take to a new owner. Trevor found the ad for them online, fell in love with the pair and have decided to take them in.

DISCIPLINE: Isn't ridden as he is blind

BARN NAME: Tallulah

AGE: 20 years old

GENDER: Mare

COLOR: Dark Bay

BREED: Exmoor Pony

HEIGHT: 13.2 HH

PERSONALITY: Tallulah is a stubborn mare with a lot of grudges on her shoulders. She isn't fond of men, but tolerates them all the same. She knows she has to be gentle around Charlie, and is very, very protective of the blind gelding. She has been broken in English pleasure, and makes a lovely child's pony, and Trevor hopes to get someone at the academy to ride her. Being an older female too, she is very set in her ways. She dislikes change, and this is going to be hard for her to settle. But, Trevor shall do his best for her, and Charlie. Once she gets used to him, her view of humans is bound to change, especially with Charlie's reassurance. As much as he relies on her, she also relies on him for comfort also.

HISTORY: Tallulah has had the same history as Charlie, without being blind. She has been tossed around from dealer to dealer until being rescued by the kind woman. Now, with Trevor, she has a permanent home, even if she doesn't know it yet.

DISCIPLINE: English, pleasure. Hardly ever ridden though.
