Background:
Born in London into a non-musical family, all Michel ever wanted to do was play an instrument and ride horses. So her parents decided to allow her to do both. She started flute lessons and horse riding around the same time. When she 15 she entered a youth orchestra as a flutist. (Gustavo was 17). For a year her riding career was put on hold, due to the orchestra. She and Gustavo became good friends, but see each other for about 4 years, as Gustavo was at Juilliard, and she was finishing school.
She also moved to New York at the age of 22. Michel ran into Gus one day at a Starbucks, and started dating 3 months later. When she was 24, they got married.
She trained horses for a living, and is a very accomplished rider.
