Day 1[/font][/u]
Well, today was a pretty interesting day. Balian hasn't arrived yet, he should be here in two or so days. While I wait, I've been looking around the campus, seeing what's where and what is important to know. No one has asked too much about Nunya yet, but I haven't had much to do with any of the students yet either... That might be a big part of it. I went to the library and read a bit, saw some people there, but no big conversation happened... Well, that's about it for now. It's just my first day, it wasn't that eventful. Day 2[/font][/u]
Some things happened today, but first, Balian still hasn't arrived. I'm not worried yet, I'll start worrying in a few days. I'd rather he is safe and late in getting here, when the alternative is that he gets here quickly but hurt.
Oh, guess what! I'm getting a roommate tomorrow! I have yet to learn more about her, but I hope it will be okay. Nunya's been stretching out on my bed, but I think I've gotten her to understand that only half of the room is ours. Day 3[/font][/u]
Balian arrived late yesterday, just in time for my first classes. First thing in the morning, I had Natural Horsemanship. I was a few minutes tardy, but the teacher didn't seem to mind. There were only two other students in that class... Small classes seem to be the norm here... My other classes are fine as well, but I'm too tired to write about them... I have to send a letter home, they will be worrying. Some Day[/font][/u]
Charlie's everything I hoped for in a roommate and more. We've already spent a lot of time just chatting, and it's been fun. Sh has a black lab named Bear, who seems to get along well with Nunya.

Another Day;;
Well, I've met the Queen Bee of this campus... I don't think I would like to repeat the encounter, but I held my ground.Nunya's treading on some tails, for sure, but whatever. Charlie and I are planning a trail ride, because Balian and her Midnight got along well. Midnight is alright with Nunya, so that's a bit plus.

Yet Another Day:
Over the summer, I got a surprise in the mail. It was a letter from the group that Nunya came from, that since she was eight, it was time to retire her. I swear, I couldn't believe it! I looked down at her, and she looked at me, and I'm pretty sure she knew what was coming. Of course, I'd known this would happen, but, for it to happen now? My parents didn't know what was in the letter yet, they hadn't seen it, so I just went upstairs to think about it for a while before they came home. Nunya seemed happy to be back in Mi Wuk, she jumped right up onto my bed.
Well, so I read the letter again, and it said that there were a few new dogs that were ready, and that I should come in one day within the week to see which one of them would work out best for me. So, that's where we're headed next, I suppose. At least I know what's going to happen to Nunya. My parents and I discussed that already, she's going to be staying in Mi Wuk with them. I'm going to miss her, I'm sure, but I have to let go. That's the problem with dogs like her, after a few years, they have to retire. It's really sad, but I know she's going to be happy up here. My mom was thinking about getting her to do therapy training, because she's so calm, and then they could go volunteer at the library... I'm not sure how I would feel about that, although it would give her something to do.
