Daor Leabhar-latha, [dear diary]
Mi fa dheoidh air ruighinn!
I realize I don't write Gaelic as much as I used to, or should. But, English starting to become second nature to me now. And, I must keep practicing in it for my marks on my essays to go up. They have been rather sluggish. But, English can be confusing often. I sometimes still get words mixed up.
I have no roommate for now, which I am grateful. As you now, I don't seem to keep company well. I already miss Kyle and Jade, and my sisters from Home. I wish them all well. I also miss my beloved Roy. Surely my favorite boy is doing well. I think the campus is calling my name, so I write later.
Yours Truly,
Addy Lalita

Daor Leabhar-latha,
Well, I have survived so far. It is my 2nd day here, and I started schooling. I was however, late to one of my classes. It was a reining class, and I couldn't find my around this confusing place. I got to ride a very nice horse named Blackie. He is a reining horse, and a registered quarter horse. If I could ever own a horse, I would want a red one. But not a dull red, a fiery red.
My dad once told me (from what I remember) that "Red sky at night, Shepherds Delight; Red sky in the morning, Shepherds Warning." It is a old time Scottish saying. Back when we had our sheep on our farm, I remembered looking into the horizon, and I saw a Eriskay pony, one of the many ferals roaming by the sea. They swim from their island onto our coast when food becomes scarce. They are usually only black, bay, or gray. But I saw a red one. No one believed me, but the next day, we lost our farm and had to move to America.
I must get ready to go to next class.
Feumaidh mi ruith,
Addy Lalita
