‘Rainmaker’, or Lorraine, is a fourteen year old Appaloosa mare. She’s a proven broodmare and throws conformationally correct, colorful, and easy-to-break foals. Most of her foals have spots, as Lory herself is a spotted blanket Appy. She’s of average height, standing at 15.1 hands, and is fairly broad. Her attitude isn’t the best in the world... Lorraine hasn’t really been handled a whole lot since becoming a broodmare. Her ground manners aren’t as good as they could be, and she’s quite challenging undersaddle even though she was well trained. She’s fairly spunky and can be very hard to catch. Lory is very protective of her foals and doesn’t like to let them out of her sight else she becomes stressed. She lost one foal a few years ago and is trained western only. Lorraine was a barrel horse until an injury put an end to her career. She’s suitable for trail riding at a walk and trot and then and has never been retrained in anything else. She’s in foal to a 15.2 hand chestnut Arabian stallion. Lorraine is owned by the Academy. Student:
