Show Name:CF Hollywood Reject
Barn Name: Hollywood
Age: 13
Gender: Gelding
Color: Grulla
Breed: Quarter Horse
Breed Registry: AQHA, NRA
Height: 15.3
Personality: Hollywood is a gentleman... As long as he isn’t fresh. If there has been some time between his ridings he can get a little quirky tending to hump up a little bit and attempt to kick out though his version of bucking is just crow hopping. If he isn’t saddled he is distracted by little things, he is curious and wants to know what is going on around him under saddle he is a completely different horse. He has never been known to kick out at other horses or nip at mares or even squeal towards them (under saddle). He isn’t for the faint of heart though because if he isn’t warmed up enough he will buck during the middle of your performance whether it be reining, roping, steer dogging or whatever you have him doing.
History: Hollywood was born out of a Hollwood Dun It mare at the Abbot Ranch in Northen Texas (completely made up). He was part of their breeding program to improve their roping stock. Even at a young age they kept him busy leasing him out as much as possible so that different people could ride and show him. At the age of 6 he qualified for the NRA world championship but due to the crowd pressure he faultered, the next year he qualified once again but since he had seen it all before he figured it wasn’t that bad; he didn’t win but he came in 3rd in the fist round and 4 in the second. Grae’s mother bought him for her as a birthday present for her pro Reining horse.
Discipline: Western; Breakaway Roping, Reining, 4-d Barrels
Owner/Rider: Grae Haun
Show Name:Laramies Chance
Barn Name: Chancey
Age: 14
Gender: Mare
Color: Blue Roan
Breed: Appendix Quarter Horse
Breed Registry: AQHA
Height: 16 hh
Personality: Chance is a sweetheart as long as you are no where near an arena, she has that competitive drive to her making her a handful near an arena gate but she never falters through the pattern. Some say Grae is crazy trusting children on her back but out in the pasture there is no force in the world that would get Chance out of a walk. Whenever it comes to picking up for rough stock events you can almost tell how seriously she takes her job as she will attempt to bite the rough stock horses or bulls if they are not cooperating, she has yet to run a single person over and that is a record she is proud of.
History: Chance was born on a simple ranch where their horses had to be good for more than one thing. Her height and speed made her an automatic choice for barrels but she also had this calmness about her a natural pickup horse. She has been to the NFR 3 times and everytime she was top 5. She was Grae’s first barrel horse and her first choice for anything
Discipline: Barrels & Old Pickup Horse; Will be retired to Broodmare once she finishes Cat
Owner/Rider: Grae Haun
Show Name: Chasing Smart Cash
Barn Name: Cat
Age: 8
Gender: Mare
Color: Bay
Breed: Appendix QH
Breed Registry: AQHA
Height: 16.1
Personality: Cat is a new horse of Grae's therefore she hasn't quite figured out her personality but she mainly bought her because whenever she was riding her she seemed intelligent and extremely willing to learn. Cat has never shied away from anything she has actually shown increased curiousity in things that should scare a young horse which whenever she is older will make her great breeding stock
History: She was born at a Quarter Horse Racing stable in Kentucky. She was quick on the track but never did really good as she lost most of her speed after the 200 mark. Many barrel racers have had their eye on her but Grae’s mother bought her and quickly started her on barrels as a 4 year old. Even though she is fairly seasoned she isn’t 100% yet and Grae keeps her as a back up horse until she gets 100%. Cat was more or less her parents way of saying ‘Sorry for sending you off to school with your brother’
Discipline: Barrels; Ex Flat Racer
Owner/Rider: Grae Haun
Show Name:Kissing an Irishman
Barn Name: Paddy
Age: 12
Gender: Gelding
Color: Bay
Breed: QH
Breed Registry: AQHA
Height: 15.2
Personality: He is a well broke horse that tends to be a little lazy whenever it comes to warming up. He gets a little fresh if you haven’t rode him but it only shows in the box whenever his nerves are on end. He is a horse that can be rode by almost anyone as he is gentle enough for kids and yet he is a good enough calf horse that he is used in he college/ pro circuit.
History: He was born on a Cattle Ranch in deep south texas, and as many horses on cow ranches he was broke at the age of 2 and quickly started ranch work. At the age of 4 they began working with him on calf roping though he never worked the line quite right so they turned him into a simple breakaway horse. A family friend bought him and started him on renining which surprisingly enough came naturally to the short horse, after riding him a few times Grae fell in love and wanted him.
Discipline: Breakaway Roping/ Rening
Owner/Rider: Grae Haun
ooc; The photos are made specifically for these horses so when she gets a new one they will have their own spiffy photo
