History: Finder’s Fee, a son of the great Giant’s Causeway, was bred for the track. However, he was too nervous in the gates and after a frustrating year of training, was sold at a lower-end auction.
He was picked up by a BNT, who thought he saw some potential in the gangly bay. Unfortunately, after only a few months, it became clear that the gelding was not at all suited for the slow-paced life of a show hunter.
So it was the horse was sold rather cheaply to a friend of the trainer, who liked his guts and form. Cash did fairly well as a jumper for the next 3 years until he was sold on for a more substantial fee to Jocelyn’s trainer.
Because Jocelyn and Cash seemed to click very well as a team, it was decided that the gelding would be purchased for Jocelyn as a birthday present by her parents.
Currently, Cash is competing at Training Level with Jocelyn, but she is hoping that a couple of years of professional training at the acamdey will really help package and polish his abilities, particularly in the dressage phase of competition.
