.Scout.
Show Name: Sherlock Holmes
Barn Name: Scout; Sherlock; Holmes
Age: 6
Gender: Gelding
Color: Bay
Breed: Dutch Warmblood
Breed Registry: AWS (American Warmblood Society
Height: 17 hands
Personality: Scout is the young prospect everybody dreams about. Even though he is young, he is quiet and predictable, loving and engaging, willing to learn new things, willing to hang out with you and do nothing. He is not your big ego, career-oriented horse. He is happy to just be. Consistent and loyal, mainly to Hailey though. He likes to wear hats, and his favorite treats are peppermints, so during the winter holidays, watch your candy canes. He has lots of scope and is very brave. The gelding constantly sticks his tongue out! It's like its too big for his mouth or something! And he likes to have "conversations" with people. You can ask him questions and he'll shake his head and he's such a ham!
History: As a four year old, Scout was sold to the stable that Hailey was currently staying at. Naturally, she spent a lot of time with scout, working with him and bonding with him. He was given to Hailey that year, and from then on the pair have been inseparable. Scout saved Hailey from her depression, and there was no way she was leaving him when she was accepted at Blue Ridge, so Hailey took him with her, and here they are.
Discipline: Show jumping

.Solstice.
Show Name: Solstice
Barn Name: Solstice; Baby girl
Age: 5
Gender: mare
Color: Black
Breed: Hanoverian
Breed Registry: AHS -- American Hanoverian Society
Height: 16.2
Personality: Although Solstice can be your typical mare at times, she has a sweet side. But only to a few people. Solstice is like a bird, free spirited, wants to fly (literally), and bonds with one person and one person only. People say mares in season are bitchy but Solstice is actually not and is same year round. She works only when she wants to, but when she does, she does her job well. She is still young, so she has time left to mature a bit... we're hoping. Solstice can be silly at times, and If you bend over near her she will nudge you with her nose and topple you over. She is also quite the escape artist. She follows Hailey like a puppy and she puts her head on her shoulder when she is brushing her withers. She also crosses one front leg over the other and then scratches her leg, and Hailey thinks it's cute. Although she can be a sweet puppy dog, DO NOT bother her when she is eating. She is very possessive of her food, and has hurt people.
History: Solstice was imported from Germany to be an Olympic riders next great mount. She has fantastic gaits with a lot of swing and elasticity and that sexy walk the judges love so much! Unfortunately, five grooms were seriously injured during feeding time. The owner of the stables sold her for a mere $500, throwing away all her talent so that he didn't get in trouble. Fortunately, Solstice landed in the hands of Hailey, and the two have formed an unlikely bond.
