Personality>> Ray loves vaulting, lives for it, in fact. She enjoys the sheer concentration it requires, like most of the riding events. Ray has some trouble accepting defeat, and is very competitive, even when she isn't the one competing, when students of hers are. She is very quick to jump in her students' defense, and is sometimes very like a guard dog, snappy and deceiving. She always has a good retort, and actually enjoys verbal spars, although she knows better than to start them. She holds back a lot, and spends a lot of time with her animals. She loves all things German, and although she doesn't speak the language, she owns three German dogs that she loves to pieces.

Appearance>> Ray stands at about 1.8 meters and weighs somewhere close to 54 kilograms. She has short blonde hair streaked with brown, which she clips back or hides under a hat for practice sessions. She has startling blue eyes that seem to glow with a joke that only she understands. She is often seen wearing yoga pants and a loose t-shirt. While she seems rather thin, she has all of the necessary muscle to keep herself up on her horses. When she has to, she prefers wearing silver jewelry over gold, but she dislikes anything that she might fidget with, and thus avoids wearing it whenever possible.
Markings>> A scar on her left hand, from a knife. About an inch long, right on the knuckle of her pointer finger.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Broke her arm once, from falling off of a horse, and cut down to the bone with a knife trying to open a plastic wrapper.
Criminal History>> N/A
Full History>>Raenn was born in the middle of winter, to a mother that was a horse trainer. Her father had been a one-night stand man, and Raenn never knew him. She didn't ever learn that children were supposed to have men in their lives until she got into fourth grade and they had a Father's Day party. Even then, she got over it, because she had the horses at her mother's small business. One horse in specific, a large Percheron named Grey, became her special friend. They spent a lot of time together, and Raenn learned to ride on the mare, when she wasn't doing gymnastics. She started gymnastics in fifth grade.
After a few years of gymnastics training, she met a woman at a show that was a horse vaulting trainer looking for students. Raenn was far too glad to switch from working on the ground to working on the back of a horse. She was the woman's best pupil, at lessons almost every day. At home, she practiced being a longeur with Grey. The mare wasn't trained in vaulting, but did what was asked of her, to trot or canter around a circle.
When she graduated from high school, Raenn gave up working with horses for a while, to start her college education, but after she graduated college with a four-year degree in equine studies, she returned to her mentor and started working alongside her, lunging the horses and even taking over some of the classes of students. During that time, she collected two vaulting horses of her own that she sometimes used. After a few years of substituting, she grew tired of working in the shadow of someone else, and started looking for a new job. She bought another vaulting horse and made her way to Blue Ridge to work as the vaulting coach and teacher.
We found love in a hopeless place
Pet Name>> Pyelot
Registered Name>> -----
Age>> 5 years
Species>> Canine
Breed>> Altdeutscher Huetehund--Tiger
Registry>> N/A
Personality>> Pyelot is very independent. He was trained to work away from his handler, and he still remembers that. He is very intelligent, and is quick to analyze situations and respond to them. He dislikes being leashed, and will only grudgingly allow it. If he is left tied up anywhere, he will find a way to get loose. Herding is in his blood, and he'll often attempt to herd together Raenn's horses.
History>> Pyelot was bred in a rather large sheep farm. He was raised with the sheep, and as soon as he knew the basic commands, his training began. He was used in turns with his mother and siblings. When the farm came on hard times, they had to sell some of their sheep and some of their dogs. Raenn bought the dog because of his coloring. He's been with her for a year and a half and was bred twice in that time.

Pet Name>> Dunst
Registered Name>> -----
Age>> 2.5 months
Species>> Canine
Breed>> Altdeutscher Huetehund--Tiger
Registry>> N/A
Personality>> Dunst is very inquisitive. He doesn't mind well yet. He only obeys commands if it suits him. He will always stick his nose where it doesn't belong, just to try to figure out how something works. He often gets into trouble for this, but it doesn't change his attitude at all. He didn't like being shut up for the first two months of his life, and makes up for it in his ceaseless exploring.
History>> Dunst was born to the second litter Pyelot had when he belonged to Raenn. Being of an almost extinct breed, his siblings were sold to good homes and breeders, but Raenn fell in love with the puppy and decided to keep him.

Pet Name>> Zottle
Registered Name>> -----
Age>> 5 months
Species>> Canine
Breed>> Altdeutscher Huetehund--Gelbbacke
Registry>> N/A
Personality>> Zottle is a dog that lives to please. She loves being praised. She would do anything for Raenn. She can be suspicious of other dogs, especially those bigger than herself, but after a while, she'll get used to them. She loves attention and is most happy on the lap of some small child, being smothered in hugs. She would never harm anyone. She is rather intelligent, despite her personality, and is catching on to the herding work rather quickly.
History>> Zottle was found at the side of the road as a two month old puppy. The person who found her didn't recognize her breed, so she contacted the local animal shelter. The shelter worker on call noticed that she looked somewhat similar to Raenn's dog, so they contacted her. Raenn confirmed that the pup was an Altdeutscher Huetehund and adopted the puppy into her family.
