How Often should I post?
While we always encourage activity, there is always too much of a good thing. Nobody wants a thread hog. If the staff feels that your character replies to too many open threads over a short period of time , and your posts repeatedly contain grammar errors, spelling errors, or has poor content quality (especially if the original poster put a lot of effort into their post), we will ban you from the thread.
If the problem persists, the consequences result in banning from the entire site for a day, or longer.
While it is very rare that we have to do this, there are some occasions. Most average RPers never meet these limits.
If more than two people in a post, can I reply whenever I want?
No. There is an untold rule of posting order. You need to be polite and wait your turn. For example, if Jon posted, then Nancy replied, but then Jack joined in, Nancy couldn't reply to Jack until Jon did first. So the order would be: Jon, Nancy, Jack, starting with Jon again. This even applies to classroom threads.
The only exception, is if the post itself says 'there is no posting order'.

Using Colours for SpeechIt's great to use a colour or bold your character's speech and/or thoughts. However, if you are using a colour, please have a look at the thread that has all the colours on it and find a colour that doesn't make it hard to read on the grey background (and as all the colours on the list as the actual colour, it's not hard to work out). Also, if you are in a thread with lots of people (a class), please look through all of the threads don't use the same colour as another poster, because that's just rude. The colour thread can be found here I can't reply to that post!If you are RPing with someone else, please make sure you put something into your post that they can reply to. It's not too hard, as all you need to do is either do something that they can work with, or ask an open ended question (this is a question where the answer is more than a "yes" or "no" and will lead on to other things), otherwise it gets really boring if you are just going around in circles.

This will get moved into posting etiquette at some point, but right now it needs a thread of it's own.
Classes
I want to get the classes moving along again. I know that we have talking about posting order, but I am going to throw that out the window in classes. I would still like you to give the "next person in the order" a respectful 24 hours to post, but after that it's a free for all.
Moving the Classes Along
It seems that the lessons are taking months to get through as the "teacher" is always waiting on "students" to post. Yeah, the instructor for the class now only has to give the students a week (since the last person has posted) to move the lesson on, even if all of the enrolled students haven't posted.
Long posts
Please don't get me wrong, I love lengthy posts, but, please keep to the thread topic. In the first post in the thread you can mention things that your character has been doing prior to what is happening in the thread, as long as it is leading up to the thread and "setting the scene". But DO NOT add something like that into EVERY SINGLE POST (yes, I'm shouting). It gets really tedious to have to read stuff that has nothing to do with the thread.
When posting, think about those of us IRL who have come home after a ten hour day at work and still having a toddler to feed and settle before they actually get a chance to sit down and look online. It's not fun having to troll through stuff to be able to find what I need to read.
