Moon is terrified of water. When me and his trainer (who i am buying him from) took him on walk down the road, there was a puddle of water. The trainer tried and tried to get Moon to go through it while riding him. It didn't work. So, he got off, and tried to lead him through. It wasn't but one-two feet wide. Moon carefully stepped one foot it, then tried to avoid all other feet. Then he started walking across it regularly. Once we thought he had the idea, we went to lead him on more time and he jumped! It was so funny! After that, he would just jump across every time.
We also worked on picking up his feet (he hates that) then worked some with the tarp. He did really good for the first try, it took us maybe 5 minutes and he walked over it. He was still scared, but we shook it around him and set it on the ground, and he walked over it. He is going to be the best calm, broke, trusted horse in no time =]
