Personality: Like the typical thoroughbred, Lilly can be a little high spirited at times. She is a sweetheart once she relaxes, but not for the beginning rider. Because she was never raced, she is not as nervous as others of her breed. Though this little mare is goofy, she knows when she has a job to do.
History: In 2002, her dam was bred to the stallion A.P. Indy. When she was born, her mother became extremely ill and died about a week later. Her owner, stricken by grief, left her out in the paddock when she was a weanling. Tim McCarthy rescued her and brought her home. As she grew up, she was trained in show jumping and dressage. She is a half sister of the legendary filly Rags to Riches and the granddaughter of Seattle Slew.
