It was such a pleasure to hear from you! God, how I miss you... I went out and adopted myself a cat from the shelter the other day because I was feeling lonely. Sam is a Persian/Siamese cross and is just the cutest little stinker! He looked like a long haired Siamese , actually, and is white with a bit of grey on his ears and paws. The shelter told me that he was about six and his old owners had to leave him there when they moved a few weeks ago. He's such a nice cat... loves to lay in the sunshine and is very lazy until I start playing with him with a string.
Oh, guess what! I went on a date last weekend with Codie again! I know how you adore Codie. He said to tell you "Hey" and that he hopes you're doing good down there in Kentucky and that he misses you. We're planning on taking a small week long autumn camping trip in a few days, so I'll write you and tell you all about it when we get home. I'm so excited. I haven't been camping since you, me, and your father went when you were seven.
