Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Hayley is an aggressive girl. She is not afraid to get into a fight with those who she feels are threatening her; and when I say fight, I'm not referring to the name-calling variety. She is constantly defensive and on guard. The only time you will see her relaxed is when she is on a horse, alone, or with friends whom she trusts. She is always acting out from a fear of people finding out about her sexuality. She walks around with an apathetic attitude toward life, especially school. The truth is, she cares about the things that happen to her and the grades she gets. She even enjoys school, having a great natural intelligence. However, she feels that if she were to show the world her true colors, they would discover her sexuality and she would be rejected. Therefore, Hayley continues to act like she doesn't have a care in the world and will continue to keep her guard up and strong.
Likes>> animals; bright colors; school; competing; music
Dislikes>> dark colors; animal abuse; getting a bad grade; dressing up; reality tv
Fears>> failing; someone finding out her secret
Hopes>> getting into the college she wants to go to; finding someone who understands her
Secrets>> she's a lesbian.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Hayley has a unique look to her. She is about 5'5" with a tiny but athletic body. She has light, rosy skin, a square, hard face, full lips, and a small, attractive nose as the result of her necessary nose job. Her left ear cartilage is pierced and holds a small hoop. Her eyes are an impenetrable dark brown and tend to be covered by wispy bangs. Her slightly wavy orange dyed hair falls to just below her narrow shoulders.
Hayley most often wears snug-fitting skinny jeans and a brightly colored t-shirt despite her dark disposition. Her bright converse give the impression that she is fun and approachable, but I would take caution when approaching her. When riding, she wears new breeches with brown paddock boots and half chaps (black tall boots for shows), some bright colored fitted t-shirt or polo, a wide belt, and a GPA helmet.
Markings>> Left cartilage piercing; scars on her hips from where she has burned herself.
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> Broken nose from a fight - had to get reconstructive surgery (aka a nose job).
Criminal History>> She has a restraining order on her.
Full History>> Born on October 30, Hayley was a fun, bright baby who rarely cried. She was easily entertained and a quick learner. She was raised by a nanny, however, as both of her parents spent their days at their high-paying jobs and their weekends traveling for business. Hayley grew up not knowing the comfort and support she needed from her parents.
Throughout elementary and middle school, Hayley had plenty of friends and enjoyed a great social life while getting straight A's. She was friends with almost everybody, and was the type of girl who would sit and gossip with the girls before getting dirty playing touch football with the guys. She was a part of many clubs, even a leader of some, and was always the top of her class.
Toward the end of middle school, however, Hayley started feeling more isolated. Her girl friends all started getting boyfriends, and her guy friends all started getting girlfriends. Hayley joined the trend, saying yes to guys that asked her out only to break up a week later, but she didn't seem to be enjoying it as much as her friends did. In fact, she found that she would much rather be with her girl friends then have a boyfriend. Slowly, Hayley started discovering the romantic feelings she felt toward girls. Afraid of how her friends would react to this discovery, Hayley kept it to herself and continued playing along in the middle school dating games.
When high school started, there was a flood of new students as the high school covered the teenagers of two towns. Hayley followed with hope the story of one other gay freshman girl who came out about her homosexuality, but was crushed when she watched the girl get teased, harassed, and even physically assaulted. Feeling that the girl did not deserve this treatment, Hayley defended her, fought with her, and stood up for her, only to be teased herself. "Protecting you lesbian lover?" they would say to her. "Can I watch you guys do it?" some boys would say between bursts of laughter. Afraid they would discover that their taunts were hitting the truth, Hayley fought them hard, leaving bruises and sprains, and even breaking one boy's arm after he clocked her straight in the nose. She rid their heads of the thought that she may like girls, and got a restraining order placed on her in the process.
After that episode, Hayley's demeanor changed. She lost many of her friends, not trusting them to be so close to her. She got into more fights, and tended to stick to herself during free periods. She started drinking and experimenting with drugs, and she started burning herself when she felt she was out of control. Her only refuge was her horse.
Not wanting to stay in a town in which Hayley had done so much damage, Hayley's parents moved away and applied to Blue Ridge Academy for Hayley, hoping the school that so valued horses would help sort their daughter out. Hayley obliged, eager to be far away from the lesbian rumors.
We found love in a hopeless place
