History: Singer was born on Tradewind Farm; the first Knabstrupper foal the family had ever bred. For the first six months of his life he lived out with his dam and the other mares and foals, in a huge field. He was brought in on occasion to be handled and checked over, but for the most part he was left alone. Weaning was very upsetting for Singer, who had been practically attached to his dam from the moment he was born. Right around that time was when he was given to Austin as a gift though, and once she started working with him, he was too busy to be sad. They went on walks, played games, did short training sessions, and even took field trips. When Austin took the job in Kentucky, Singer was flown out because he isn't a fan of car trips.
