Personality: Pistol is a fire ball to say the least. He gets cold backed easily, but if he's kept rode he is a pretty level headed horse. Being used on trails and pastures, he isn't spooked easily and is easy to ride. He's definatly a one person horse, favoring Danny over anyone else. Once he warms up to you he's a quirky gelding with a lot of spunk and heart. He always tries his hardest, but also has his off days.
History: Pistol is sired by the Anderson's stallion, Playin With Guns, who is a son of Playgun and out of a Paddy's Irish Whisky mare that they leased for a few years. As soon as Pistol was born, Danny was all over him. His long blaze attracted him, and being only 11 he knew he couldn't start his own colt. Danny's father promised the last foal out of the mare to him, and Pistol happened to be the last one they got. His 3 siblings were 3+ years older than Pistol, and showed potential as well as one already in the show ring winning Futurities. Danny's father started Pistol for him, and ever since then Danny has been the official caretaker of the gelding. He has shown him all over the world including the AQHYA world show and many more.
