History: Gus was born out of a good looking dam by a famous sire. He had perfect conformation, a good attitude, and was an easy going colt. His breeder knew he would be a good show jumper. When he started being trained, he progressed quickly, learning new cues fast and recognizing patterns easily. It was known when he was four that he had the potential to be a grand prix jumper. Alex's parents, looking for a horse for Alex whom he would be able to grow with, bought him Gus when Gus was four. While Alex continued riding other people's horses in competitions, he brought Gus along on the sidelines. Alex took Gus with him when he moved out of his parents' house. While Alex has jumped Gus grand prix height, he prefers to stay to the level 6-8 heights.
