Dear Henri,Oh our little barn princess!! How great it is to hear from you? Everyone’s been missing you at the barn, including Maxine, the little lesson girl that just started. Roxy has been acting up since your departure, though hopefully I’ll be able to get her back to normal soon enough. Don’t worry, she’s gotten quite enough carrots and grain as well. She’ll be back to her happy little self in no time. You should come visit one day Henri! I miss my best rider. And Hutch seems like quite the horse. I do remember that big bay horse. I’m glad you’re doing well with him. Here comes my instructor part- Don’t let him rush jumps!!! Do dressage hon, it’ll help a lot.
Okay, now I got that out – you know I can’t help it, I can tell you about the new mare we just got. Her name is Jolie. I really hope she’ll be good for Clarence or we’ll be saying bye again, though I can’t say much. She just came in yesterday. I tried her out the other day on a lounge line. She has very nice movement, but is extremely lazy. Still, it was nice, even if she’s Clarence’s. And at the idea of buying a new horse- I say definitely! Stop being afraid of your father Henri. Be that confident strong young woman you are on a horse.
Do what you would like, don’t let anyone else make decisions for you miss. Or else, I won’t let you ride in stirrups next time you come for a lesson! You’re an ambitious young woman; don’t let his prejudices let you down. Anyway, moving on. Oh, that poor cat. He loves you to death you know? I bet he would be much happier at BRRA than all alone at home. Give him extra love and attention these days. And yes, we all know our dear Henri and her caring ways. It’s why we love you hon.
Oh my God! Hutch is quite the handsome creature isn’t he? You know I love him already. He does look like a handful though, as you said. Just make sure you’re not getting yourself overworked. I remember my high school days and how I barely had enough time for sleep let alone horses. Those were the good days. And aww, Henri… I would love to come and teach though you know better than anyone else, all the horses your father has wouldn’t win anything without me. Besides, I’m not mean enough to abandon your father; as snotty as he is. Still, come visit us please! Write back hon! You know I love hearing from you!
