Turn away 'cause I need you more
Personality>> Fern is a very tender hearted young woman. She's quiet, bashful and easily embarrassed. Many try to describe her as being withdrawn and mousy, but this simply isn't true. She may be timid but she has a big heart and a trusting, nurturing, mother hen nature towards anyone who needs it and is an old school, innocent hopeless romantic. Something that can get her into quite a bit of trouble. There are some that have tried to take advantage of Fern's sweet characteristics. But up until now her brother's have taken care of the issues as soon at they arise. She's been sheltered, but she's determined to get out into the world and fend for herself through her art. She hates mooching off her grandfather and elder brothers with all her heart and soul.
Likes>> Sweets, biking, sewing, crafts, the spring time, watching the foals play, fantasy/romance novels (though she won't admit it), cooking, hiking, Ambrosia plum tea, dancing, day dreaming, classical music and riding side saddle.
Dislikes>> Clutter, fast food, driving, teens acting obnoxious, art snobs, large crowds, big cities and tobacco.
Fears>> Large dogs (she was bitten by one as a child) and closed in spaces
Hopes>> To own a small art school and to adopt a child.
Secrets>> Fern's never dated or been kissed.
It’s the way I’m feeling I just can’t deny
Appearance>> Fern is a tiny, pixie like woman. She’s dainty, looking as if one good strong gust of wind could blow her away like a leaf or that she would be better suited with wings hiding in a patch of flowers than on the back of a horse or covered in paint and clay. She stands at only 5 feet 3 inches and is very slender with long legs and small hips and bust (something she’s very self-conscious about). She has fair skin and a youthful face with naturally rosy cheeks, pink Cupid’s bow lips, and big blue-gray doe eyes. Her hair is straight and soft, running past her hips in length and colored a vibrant auburn-purple with straight cut bangs.
She’s the kind of girl who’ll be 30 years old and will still have to get carded before she’s able purchase a beer.
Markings>> Her ears, bottom lip and nose are all pierced, though she doesn't wear lip or nose rings during work.
She also has a tattoo on her wrist
and another on her shoulder
But I’ve gotta let it go
Medical History>> She's severely allergic to bees.
Criminal History>> The worse "run in with the law" Fern's ever had was stealing a piece of candy from a store as a child. (that she later returned, crying her eyes out with guilt)
Full History>> Fern is the youngest child of a family with eight children, and the only girl on top of that. She was born in Paris, but raised in Provence by her grandfather on his lavender farm after her parents passed away when she was two. She lived a calm, simple and peaceful life there. Growing up sheltered from the rest of the world in the country, but happy. Her brothers were always there to keep a close eye on her, even when they were goofing off while their grandfather and his hired crew were hard at work in the fields. There was always someone looking out for the "Agneau" (Lamb in french) making sure she stayed safe and out of any kind of trouble. Her first experience with horses was when she was only four. Her brothers used to set her on the backs of the families two Percheron work mares, Marie and Amie and lead her around their land. It wasn't long after that her eldest brother bought Fern her first pony, a little Icelandic gelding named Dustmen (who still lives on the farm) and taught her how to ride. Around the time she turned six she joined her grandfather and brothers with the farm work, helping pull her weight with small chores after school. This was also the time when Fern's artistic talents started to come to light. She was was always a very skilled with crayons and pencils, but when her materials broadened in school so did her work.
Eventually her dream became to go to art school, something her grandfather fought her on until she was fourteen and her brothers helped sweeten the old man on the idea.
She's made a few tours and her pieces are favored my many contemporary collectors and galleries that promote rising artists. But she never was overly fond of living in the big cities and going to the parties that were usually paired with her showings. Though she continued making her creations.
By the time she turned nineteen she had had enough and moved back to France. Now she's going to give her art another shot with a much more modest job in America. She's nervous, but at the same time excited because it'll allow her to pair her two life long loves of riding and art together.
We found love in a hopeless place
Pet Name>> Charlotte
Registered Name>> N/A
Age>> One month.
Species>> Suidae
Breed>> Miniature pot-bellied pig
Registry>>N/A
Personality>> Still developing
History>> Charlotte was born to a litter of four on a neighboring farm back in France. She was given to Fern by her grandfather as a going-away gift and named after the spider in Charlotte's Web. What? Her Owner's name is Fern and she may be a pig, but she's a girl. So she simply couldn't be named Wilbur, now could she? Anyway, the little piglet is very dependent on Fern. She needs to be kept warm and fed twice a day. She's already being litter boxed trained.
