Avi is somewhat of a high strung horse. She has trouble with new things in her home, though not so much at shows. Avi likes to make her rider work for her talent, though if you show her you are "worthy", the horse will be the best she can be. In Leo's opinion, she's great. Avi also loves attention, she will become snappy without it. The horse demands to have her owner pet her at least fifteen times throughout the workout or she'll be a little brat. She's a mare. Despite every little thing, Avi truly does love people. She loves people more than she does horses.
Notes: Don't make loud noises or run around her. Also, don't turn her out with other bossy horses as she will be vicious.
The History
Basic History:
Avi was bred as a racehorse, though her owner's kid decided she wanted to used her for something else. She used her as an eventer for quite some time, though the horse kept spooking at all the cross country jumps and she soon became frustrated with her. It wasn't so fair due to the fact the horse was only around six and the owner sold her off to an auction area. Seeing as she was old and had never raced before, Avi was immediately placed low priced in the auction, perfect for meat buyers. Fortunately, Dennis Jacobs had been looking for a horse for his son and immediately purchased her. Avi and Leo immediately clicked, her flighty attitude easily contained with Leo's calm demeanor. He trained her in her best discipline, dressage in which he loved it too and brought her to BRRA.
