Oct 22,
Abuela y Abuelo,
Qué tal? Cómo te va? Todo va bien por aquí. Espero que no te importa si me cambio a inglés.
I apologize if it is hard to read my english. Grandfather, you might find need to read this portion of my letter to grandmother, for I know she cannot read english.
Things are well over here, though it is obvious just how much I do not know of American culture and words. I am having trouble with understanding a little bit. I suppose I will catch up and understand more the longer I am here.
Lirio and Lacera are doing well. They have settled in nicely. Over here, though, I am calling them by the english counterpart to their names; Lily and Lacey.
I suppose there was no true reason in which I wrote this letter besides the idea that I might be feeling a little homesick. I miss home. I miss abuela and I miss you, abuelo. Escribeme nuevamente.
Su nieto, Carlos
