Jason watched as the class seemed to lag along to the outside rail; then he wondered why he wasn't prepared enough. He should of made some sort of plan before, why hadn't he? Then as he called them back into the middle, he noticed that he was losing the class; and rather fast. He had embarassed himself...majorly.
Seeing that Olivia was prepared to go first, he watched her and the small pony ride around the ring. She seemed confident in herself, and her horse; which was good, and hard to find in a pair. As the girl and her mount rode easily over the three jumps; Jason clapped as they finished, and she aligned herself in order with the rest.
Commenting before someone started again, Jason announced as a whole, Class, I noticed that this isn't the most organized day; and it's not my best organized class I've had. I guess I just wasn't prepared and I hope to get better, so if you would like to speek to me after class about ideas, be happy to. he said, and then moved down the line to Olivia and her mount. Very nice ride, Olivia. You have a lot of confidence in yourself; and your horse, which is amazing. he said and left it at that. It was just a test to see where everyone was.
Seeing Cara take her horse at a trot around before started at the first fence. Seeing the half halt added in, Jason nodded subtly, and watched as they seemed to have no problem getting over the jump. They had good roundness over the three jumps, and Jason could tell it was a bit difficult for the two smaller ponies to get over the last two. Noting himself, he clapped for Cara too at the end. She didn't halt her mare, which allowed Jason to realize he went wrong again. So walking up to her, but still distancing himself, Jason commented. Loved your ride, and how you gave your mare praise at the end. Also, the half halt was good; nice to know that you were thinking. You had amazing roundness over all three jumps; even though the last two are way to high for you and Olivia. I'm sorry I didn't notice that before, and if you two would like- he said turning to make sure Olivia noticed as well, you may stay jumping this course, jump the smaller course I will set up, or alternate. Jason said, leaving it at that.
Then gazing at the next rider, Jason watched as she seemed to be thinking a lot. Correcting her shoulders, and sitting back strides. That was correct, but she seemed to be thinking a lot. The ride was amazing by all means though; perfect going over the jumps, and a lot of boldness in this girl. He could tell. Her horse and her communicated a lot too; like any other rider. As she walked the horse around as well, Jason said to her, You and your horse must have a lot of bonding, I can tell. Nice jumping; it was very natural, and seemed like he enjoyed it. One thing that you could work on, is not thinking so much; let the flow happen. You can always correct yourself, but it seemed like you had things on the top of your mind. Jason said to her, keeping his voice nice and calm.
Then as the last seemed to go, Jason watched as she circled her horse around, and then approached. The horse seemed intrigued in the vertical, and ready to go. Holding him back as they neared, then nudging him forward; and they flew over. Then she held him back again towards the next jump, which they flew over and landed on the right lead. Coming to the next, they beautifully made it over, and they slowed to a walk. The hhorse snorted and seemed to want to go again. Walking over to where that pair was, Jason then commented, Beautiful ride, you both did amazing. Your horse seems interested in the jumps and ready to go at all times; boldness. I was wanting to know, why do you hold him back? Is it natural for you too, or have you been having problems with him? Jason asked the girl wanting to know what was happening with her. If it was natural; that was all he needed to know, perhaps they could work on it little by little, and see what happens with it.
Now that they all have gone, Jason announced, Good rides to all of you, I think this time you may all keep your horses moving on the outside rail. I'm sorry I didn't realize that before; and don't feel bothered to "instruct" me to do so. he said to them all, wanting them to feel comfortable telling him whatever they pleased could help.

Rose watched the rest of the riders go, impressed by the amount of skill the group proved themselves to have. Back at her old barn, there were few riders this talented, and she knew that she was very lucky to have the chance to be in a group lesson along with other riders that were this good.
She nodded when the instructor changed his lesson slightly. She's noticed that the change was needed before, and the lesson had been a bit messy, but she was sure that this would help the situation. When he mentioned them keeping their horses moving on the outside rail, Rose guided Vintage out to the rail.
She asked the mare for a nice working trot. She kept the warmblood at a nice pace, stretching her out nicely so she'd be good for jumping. She kept her engaged, bending her at the corners and whispering to her to make sure the mare was paying attention. She liked to see the mare's ears pointed back towards her to make sure that she was listening and paying attention to Rose, rather than her other surroundings. This was especially important in a group lesson, where there were a lot of distractions.

Henri gave the teacher an understanding look at his explanation of the class being slightly unorganized. That much was true, though the girl figured if she were put in his position, she would flinch at the amount of people in the ring. Growing up riding on her own estate kept the usual number of people in her rings very small. Still, riding in a group lesson was a nice change. It made her feel as if there was a sense of friendly competition and extra nudge making her focus on doing better. She knew with these multi-kid classes, she would be trying her best.
Henri nodded as the man complimented her ride, then asked why she held her horse back before giving him a nudge. She nodded, happy to see he had noticed that “Hutch gets quite excited about the jumps, and rushes them. It’s pretty much instinct now to hold his stride back, and then give him a small nudge to tell him we’re at the right moment to go. Yeah… I know, somewhat of a bad habit, though it seems to be something me and him need to work on.” she explained, blushing at this fact.
The brunette nodded and turned Hutch using her seat and legs to push him out to the rail. There, her co-team member was already trotting her horse around. She gave the girl a smile before pushing Hutch up to a trot, and keeping the same pace in order to keep her horse to have enough space from the others. Henri made sure to flex Hutch’s neck around the corners and give him little voice directions to keep his ears tipped slightly towards her. She wanted all of the gelding’s attention through the group lesson. It was her first group lesson and she wanted to be in control of her own mount so she would feel comfortable.

As the man clapped for her, and then complimented her, Olivia kept her gaze on Blue's mane, "She's a pony." She didn't like this man, for forcing her to fly the large jumps as a 'warm-up', and for his unpreparedness. However, it would seem churlish to be rude to him when he was complimenting her, so she latched on to the only thing that he had done wrong, when referring to Blue.
After Cara had jumped and the man had praised her, she listened as he said he would set up a smaller course for the two of them, pleased that he had realized his mistake, even if it was a bit too late.
As the mare shifted, Olivia absently patted her shoulder as she listened to the instructor speaking to the other students in turn, and then told them what he wanted them to do next. Another change in plans? Oh, goodie. Olivia breathed a quiet sigh of annoyance, why had she gotten stuck with this new teacher? Turning Blue away, she nudged the mare into a trot, leaving some space at the rail, but not too much, while she waited for the teacher to set up the smaller jumps, so that she could make her choice.

Cara finally halted the mare and kicked her feet free of the stirrups. Even though she still felt even on all four legs, she still wanted to check them. However, when she saw the man approaching them, she reined the mare back slightly - even if he did leave space between them, she made it larger. She bowed her head in gratitude, though she wasn't quite so used to such extravagant praise, but she read between the lines and knew that he felt they had done well.
Her left eyebrow rose at his next words, now he was going to set up a smaller course? She was sure that he could have worked out that Ember and Blue were smaller while they were on the track, but she was never one to speak out against a teacher.
As he walked away, she jumped off the mare's back and carefully inspected each leg. In a way she was tempted to ask Olivia if she could watch while she trotted the mare out, but she didn't want to bother the other rider, as the girl already looked far from impressed about the class. Happy that the mare seemed sound, she vaulted back into the saddle and pushed her feet into the stirrups.
She nodded her head at his next instructions after the rest of the class had taken their mounts over the fences, obviously the horses hadn't needed to have used up as much energy to clear the fences as the ponies had, and she squeezed the mare forward and they headed back to the track at a trot, keeping a good horse-length between herself and Blue. She closed her hands on the reins as Ember lifted her head, trying to avoid the bit as she wanted to go faster. After going over a grid already, she wanted to jump more and she wanted to jump more now.

Madison had kept Dillon walking, out of the way of the other riders. She watched the group finish up and waited for the next set of instructions, she really wasn’t certain where they would go from there. It was hard to teach a lesson with a group so large, and of such different skill sets – as far as Madi was concerned he had it covered and needn’t apologize, he was the trainer, this was lesson one. Quite frankly she was surprised they were going over fences much more than a single vertical at all, but she wasn’t disappointed. After he was finished apologizing she took Dillon out to the rail, she figured the whole group had gone and she could keep him going better that way. Letting him pick up his long sweeping trot she gathered her reins after a few steps, keeping him forward she sat the trot and asked him to rock back and collect slightly. The gelding ignored the request at first, though with a steady hand she added some leg and sank further into her seat and the horse elevated his shoulders while sitting on to his hocks simultaneously, it was all she wanted. She would do a few passes at the sitting trot to pick up his shoulders a little bit before cantering him once more.
His tone caught her ear, it was directed at her as she was the next logical person and the whole critique on her thinking too much was familiar. Madison smirked and nodded, she had to trust herself more as she knew what she was doing most of the time and her natural position and desire to follow the horse was usually correct. She did think lessons were a good time to practise perfection, though could see how allowing herself to flow better would be effective as well. She would work on smoothing out her corrections, ensuring they weren’t so abrupt which wouldn’t draw as much attention to the imperfection in the first place. Instantly she thought about her shoulders, separating her shoulders from her lower half she relaxed and let them find the correct position naturally. She was still thinking but felt less like a machine, if that made sense. Under her Dillon stepped up a few more inches behind and completely softened in the bridle.
Through the corners she used her inside leg to push Dillon to the outside rein, the balance was a smooth steady contact in the outside rein and a supporting outside leg which kept his hip from dropping out. His neck followed the bend of his body and he snorted once more, finding a safe spot she rode him through a change in a figure of eight. Straightening him for a few steps she asked him to bend in the opposite direction now, starting first with her leg and softening her hand she was happy to feel the horse oblige so willingly, he was in a good mood today. He went to suck back on her coming out of the corner, lose a little impulsion but with a touch of her spur he reconsidered and stepped back up properly. Madison looked up and relaxed once more, waiting for some more direction.

OOC: Forgot to post Lindsey and Jordan in the last Hunter Jumper, so I am going to modify; so Jason said something to them too. Then going to say they had already jumped. Jordan had finished the coarse, with Tripover happy; and still with his pride. She had to half halt him, due to the fact that he was coming in way to early, and way to fast as well. He seemed a little jumpy; which made it harder for Jordan, but she tried to calm him down.
Now circling him around, trying to keep herself nice and paced; Jordan listened to Mr.Karver talk to her. As he mentioned that Tripover looked rushed, Jordan nodded. He gets fast at jumps, and always trys to rush. she commented. Then adding a mental note to work on it; as Mr.Karver walked away.
The instructor seemed nervous; all the time, but maybe that would vanish quickly. As he apologized to the class, Jordan started to walk Tripover on the outside now; squeezing her sides to his inner stomach, and pushing him into a trot. Along with the other riders; they seemed to want to keep the class moving along, and they all seemed in a mad mood.

Lindsey walked Sonny around in small circles as he cooled down from there run at the coarse. The gelding did a nice job, and didn't get unfocused, once. She was proud of him and gave him a nice stroke; and some pats afterwards on the neck. Commenting on him in his ear, she was suprised that the instrctor came and told them individually what he liked and didn't.
Now coming to her turn, she pulled Sonny back a bit; as she didn't like that they were to close to the teacher. Hearing how she should try keeping her hands a little steadier; Lindsey wasn't sure what he was talking about, but then as she heard something nice come out of his mouth as well; she nodded.
Taking the gelding out to the wall, she started at a nice walk; to cool him down, and then took it up to a trot. On the correct lead; of course. Sonny snorted a bit, and then flicked his tail; not wanting to work, squeezing him onwards, Lindsey made him work.
She awaited farther instructions, trying to continue going on the chestnut, Groningen. He just didn't seem to be moving correctly today, and Lindsey wasn't sure why. She would check him first thing whenever she got off.

Sam walked Popeye off from their run of the course, slightly farther away from the group, keeping her gelding calm. He was worked up from the nicely executed run, and needed to get a hold of himself. It might have had something to do with the group of riders and horses around him, making a little wired. At least she hoped that was the problem for him, and not something she had done after they finished. He finally relaxed, and dropped his head after a short while. Once he was calmed down enough his blonde rider guided him over to the other riders that finished their runs.
She sat lightly in the gelding’s white saddle while she waited for the next set of instructions. Luckily she was forgiving today and wasn’t getting to annoyed with him being unprepared. Slowly she did as the new instructor asked, trotting the gelding along the fence. She filed last in line, keeping a larger distance in between the horse in front of her. Popeye’s ears prickled back and forth while Sam hummed to Barefoot Blue Jean Night by Jake Owen. It kept herself calm, so she wouldn’t get Popeye even more wired. He desperately wanted to keep jumping, though he really needed to settle, she wanted to keep him jumping too.

Setting up a smaller course from the beginning; Jason nodded at the jump, and then back off. He would raise it if nessecary, but he didn't thing it was to easy for them now.
As all the riders trotted along the outside rail, Jason then talked to them all again, his brown eyes glancing all over them. He was watching their form and movement with the horses. Going from Olivia to Sam; Jason noticed everything in the riders he had with him today.
Now calling out, Jason said, We'll be running this course a few more times, so I would like Olivia to go first. Your choice on which course, but the rest of you; obivously do the larger set up jumps. Jason said to his class, hoping that they would do as instructed.
While he awaited for the first rider to go through, he thought of a quick plan in his head. It was a little strange to go from jumping to cavaletti; so he decied to leave that for nect class period. Maybe adding more jumps and having them jump a full course would be good; he'd just have to keep the jumps at aminimum height for the smaller horses.
