Jesse already checked into the main office. Now he just need to go check his room before heading over to the barns to board his two horses. He dressed in his casual barn clothes and unpacked his things in his new home and walked out with whinnies crying out through the trailer. He opened the two large doors and let the horses get a glimpse of the outside. "Calm down, guys.. We're heading over to the barns right now.." He spoke sternly as he shut the doors closed and lazily went to the driver's seat of his truck.
He boarded his horses into their assigned stalls. Only his mare was the one that was assigned to White Creek, his gelding was assigned Red Willow, because of their show names. He patted Bonnie as he let her get settled at her new home. Yet he also needs to get settled, this is his new home as well. He then remembered he had to go talk to the barn manager of which he will be working as a barn hand for.
As he walked down the aisle towards the office of the barn manger. He heard the woman who was in charge was named: Katherine Carr. He then took a deep breathe as he stood by the slightly opened main office door. He gave a solid, yet slightly soft knock on her door. He didn't want to sound desperate. "Excuse me, Katherine Carr?" He asked as he didn't know what to expect.

Katherine sat at her desk, her eyebrows arched as she read through the latest email from her son - it seemed that he was moving along in leaps and bounds and was on his was to England to compete.
The woman glanced over at the sound of a knock on her door. "Enter." She called in her normal warm and welcoming voice. Turning back to the screen, she told the computer to print out the photo Dylan had sent her and closed the email down.
While the printer churned out the photo she turned back to the door when she heard her hand. "I am she." She replied as she looked the young man up and down. "Did you find Bonnie's stall easily?" She knew who the man at the door was from the photo that had been sent with his job application - one of the requirements so that new staff members could have their id cards ready to go as soon as they started - which was possibly a little unfair as she then knew who was coming to see her, when the applicant was left in the dark (unless of course they had been on the Academy website and had read through her profile). "Please, come in and have a seat." She gestured toward one of the comfy looking chairs to the side of her large desk, which sat beneath the large window that overlooked to barn entrance.

He stood there for a minute or two before hearing the women's voice of a positive response for him to enter. He slowly opened the office door and walked in before closing it behind him, trying now to slam it closed. He gave a grin towards her as he heard a printer churn and printed a photo. He really shouldn't care about someone else's buisiness. He went back into focusing on the task at hand.
He looked over to the women and was surprised at how she knew about his horse, Bonnie. He gave a nod. "More easily than I am trying to get use to the academy... Yet I'll find my way." He responded keeping his sly grin. He wondered what else she knew. Well obviously his basic information since she must of gotten his job application. He nodded his head as he took a seat in one of the comfy looking chairs. He relaxed himself in the cushions of the solids. He glanced out the large window which outlooked the entrance of the barn before looking back at Katherine. He sat up straight and spoke. "I bet you would already know who I am.. I'm Jesse Stewart, hoping to apply for the job as a barn hand for White Oak barn.." He wouldn't mind introducing him again, besides, he is who he is. He bet she wouldn't even need him to introduce himself again. He sat patiently for her to ask him any questions she may need to ask to make sure she is able to trust him or even be able to do anything with.

Katherine gave a soft laugh as the male commented that finding his mare's stall was easier than moving around the campus. "It will take a good week or two." She told him. "And then you will feel like you have been here forever."The manager nodded to knowing who he was. "I indeed do know who you are, Mr Stewart." She replied. "And between you an myself, you get slotted into whichever barn is in the most need of people." She added to his comment about the barn he would be working in, as he was the second new barn hand to arrive with the assumption of what barn he would be working in. However, in this case, Jesse was correct. "I was impressed with your résumé." She told him. "And I would like to give you a shot at being the head barn hand of White Oak." She arched her eyebrows as she studied him. "Think of it as you being on trial, so I can see how you handle the stress of handing out jobs to the other barn hands."She sat back in her chair. "Ok, the run down of what happens in the barn. Things kick off around five, thirty for the staff here. We skip out, feed out and then take the Academy mounts who aren't being used out to the pastures. The students are responsible for their own stalls, and if you find the it's the same student who is handing off their chores over and over again, come and see me. There is one student in this barn though, that will take it personally if you touch her stalls. She has three stalls even though only two of her horses live in." The barn manager pressed her lips together as she thought about Cara, the girl wasn't connecting with the Morgan mare and there had been talk about Kettle going up for sale. I moved it along quickly because I made you wait so long

Jesse gave a soft chuckle along with the women when she gave advice that it would take a week or two to get use to things. He continued his light smile towards her. It would feel like he would have been here forever. So far the place is pretty nice, not that his uncle's ranch wasn't any different from the barns. Yet this is a prestigious academy. He's pretty impressed.
He listened as she replied to his introduction of himself. He knew that since she would know who his horse was, she must have known who her new barn hand is. He gave a nod towards her comment about being slotted into which barn he would be helping out as barn hand. He thought White Oak may need some help, since most students board their horses here, as well as at Red Willow. Which he spotted on his way down here. His face spread into a small smile towards her. He was surprised at the offer of having a trial to be head barn hand. "Thank you, Mrs. Carr. I will gladly accept the challenge of taking the position as head barn hand." He was flattered from her offering.
He listened very closely and took notes of how things go around here. The schedule seemed simple, yet the challenge is to do it right. "Things kick off around five, thirty for the staff here. We skip out, feed out and then take the Academy mounts who aren't being used out to the pastures." That would be an important thing to take note of. He nodded his head firmly as she spoke about students and their chores of taking care of their horse's stalls, especially her comment about one girl's stalls who would take it personally. He understood it all. "I understand it fully. Yet please excuse me if I'm a bit rusty on the job since I'm still getting use to the new barn. I will do my best to follow your instructions, and hopefully I will learn my ways here and do a better job in my new position." He commented firmly. He wasn't trying to get the manager to like him, but he still wanted to let her know that he would like to take on the job. Hopefully she doesn't get the wrong impression of him.
OOC: It's alright, I can be patient (:

Katherine smiled and nodded. "I also pull my own weight around the barn, with the jobs that need to be done, so don't feel like I'm just going to throw you in the deep end and watch as you flail about, looking for a life ring." She sat forward in her seat as she studied the young man in the seat in front of her. "Is there anything you would like to know?" She asked.
Katherine prided herself in the fact that she did as much work around the barn as she expected her staff to do. If anyone really looked at it, she actually did more work, as the barn hands clocked out at six o'clock and she remained to finish off book work and keep an eye on the horses who needed to be watched. She liked the work in a barn, and couldn't sit back and watch others work - and she always slept better after a day of hard work.

He gave a grin towards the women at her comment about also pulling her own weights. He gave a light chuckle towards her second sentence about throwing him at the deep end. "That's a relief then, knowing that I won't be alone and all.." He continued along with his grin as she started to study him. He then looked at her for a quick moment after she asked her question before replying. "Just one, who is this girl that you mentioned about taking it personally when touching her stalls? If you don't mind me asking, of course. I just need to know for future purposes." He spoke in a clear voice, knowing that he wasn't joking around at this time, like he usually would. Hopefully the lady would let him know the information, so he would know he could stay away. If a student would take it personally, then the student must already be doing a great job taking care of her own stalls.
When he had a few moments before she began speaking. He went over the schedule in his head, over and over before he knew he would remember it all. Things kicking off, and how he would skip out, feed out, and lead out the unused Academy mounts to the pastures. Seems simple enough if he just figures out an easier way to remember it all. 'Skip out, feed out, lead out.' Seems like a good way for him. Just need to remember the time, five, thirty. Maybe this job might not be so hard. Yet never judge a book by its cover. He will see if the job would be good for him.
OOC: Sorry for making you wait, Cara. x.X

Katherine's smile grew a little. "You will also be working with; Byrne Murphy, who is your second in command and Leslie Brookes, who is our student barn hand. And of course the other people that work around the barn." She sat back as she was asked who the student she had spoken of earlier was, but didn't see the need not to tell him. "She is a small senior by the name of Cara-Jean Kitchi." She gave him a mischievous grin. "When you first see or meet her, you might think that she's a preteen, a daughter of one of the Academy staff. She's a little on the short side."
The woman raised her eyebrows as she stood up. "Shall I give you the grand tour?"
After Jesse had replied, she walked to the door and pushed her feet into the paddock boots that were waiting by the door, lifting her heel up to pull each up properly. She then led the way out of the office and down the barn aisle. "Each other the stalls has a number that pairs up to a locker in the tack room, in the lockers are where the horses' things are kept, other than the saddle and bridle, which are on saddle rack and hook with the horse's name above the rack, and their halter is on a hook beside their stall."
She continued on with the tour. "Grooming stalls, which also have a door that leads into the tack room. This is the feed room, all of the feeds are written up on the whiteboard. As with the stalls though, Cara sorts out her own feed."
