Jenna dangled a toy off of her bed whilst Callie attempt to catch it. This is how she had spent most of her day, again cooped up in her room with nothing left to do, since she had already taken Hayley for a ride. Stupidly she decided to live in a room with no roommate, which made her consider getting switched into one of the other houses, but then again, she didn’t want to drive anyone insane. She flopped around on her bed, and stared at the ceiling for a while, trying to come up with some entertainment. Finally she decided to go check out the tack shop down town, and maybe a few other stores. After spending an hour on her hair, she collected her jeans, tank top, jacket and boots. Quickly she dressed up, adding a set of gold bangles to her wrist, and a pair of golden hoops she was ready to go. On her way out of the room, she grabbed her purse, and phone. She made sure to lock the door, then went down to the parking lot where her newer Chevy truck was sitting, waiting for some use. Jenna dug her keys out of her purse, and wheeled out of the parking lot. The truck flew down the road towards the store, and pulled in, in no time. She got out of the truck, making sure not to break her neck as she got out. The heel of her boots clicked against the ground as she walked to the entrance of the tack shop. Upon entering she was surprised to see that it was a decent place, with plenty to look at. She passed several people as she headed towards the new saddles. Her eyes ran over each one, looking for pieces of thread sticking out, or any imperfections to humor her for a while. ”Wow, that’s actually really nice.” She ran her hands over the saddle, examining it as a possible purchase. Savannah was standing behind the counter ringing up the last customer in line when she saw a girl walk in with a cute jacket but it horribly didn't match anything else she was wearing. Savannah rolled her eyes lightly and placed her customer's saddle pads in the bag with the set of polo wraps and open front boots they'd just purchased. "Have a nice day." She said to them with her plastic smiled which stayed on her face until they were walking out of the door, and was then replaced by a look of utter boredom. She hated this job, but if she wanted to stay here, away from home, she had to suck it up and deal. After a few minutes, she saw no-match-jacket wandering about the saddle section, obviously surprised by what she saw. Savannah could relate. When she'd first walked into the local tack shop, she'd been expecting a used resale shop with dingy items for sale, but had been pleasantly surprised by the quality of some of the merchandise. If only they sold riding apparel also, she'd really go to town, rearranging the displays and modeling some of the merchandise for the shoppers. She was born to work in retail through high school and college, as she had been doing back home before her move. When she saw something change in the way the girl was looking at the saddles, she knew she had a sale coming her way, which would only help her in commission, even though she was already leading the pack for the month, another sale couldn't help. She walked out from behind the counter and made her way over to the saddle displays. She glided a finger over the smooth calf leather of the cantle and smiled to the potential customer. "Welcome to Earl's Tack 'R' Us, how can I help you today?" She asked the girl, already seeing the exact saddle she'd been thinking about buying. She touched it lightly with her perfectly manicured fingers, "This saddle is commonly used by the juniors and some adults riders in the A Circuit, so that alone should tell you it's a good saddle, but, I'm going to take a wild guess here and pin you as either a Show Jumper or a Dressage rider, right?" She said to her with a slightly raised eyebrow. "In which case, you'll be wanting a little more than an Equitation Saddle." She said to her with a small smirk. She hadn't even mentioned which discipline the saddle was used for before that. She walked the girl down the line to where the price skyrocketed compared to the ones she'd just been looking at. "This is the best saddle we sell, and the best saddles in the region, possibly in the nation, it all depends on how you ride, I guess." She said, placing her hand lightly on the Heremes Brasilia Saddle. "Now, as opposed to being used in the A Circuit Jumper Shows, this saddle is used by Olympic Riders frequently." She said to the girl, waiting for her reaction to the saddle. It was true that it was one of the best she'd find, but what was also true, was just how much it cost: possibly more than her horse. outfit

Jenna continued looking at the saddle for a while, beginning to admire it slightly. Her attention was drawn from the saddle to a girl who acted as if she worked at the store. ” I am just looking around for now, but I’m slightly interested in this saddle.” She managed to squeak in before the girl started talking about the saddle. A smile stayed on her face, not as large as usual, but a smile none the less. Her attention stayed fixated on what the girl was saying, and she simply nodded with a slight smile.”What gave it away?” Only a moment later she raised her eyebrows seeing the girl’s smirk, then offered a slightly fake grin. She gave the girl the benefit of the doubt, as this probably was not the most fun job on earth.
She followed the blonde over to the higher quality saddles, thinking that her father would kill her if she got one of the saddles. Her eyes landed on the saddle that the girl was talking about, and stared at it for a moment. ”Wow, Olympic riders use it? I’m guessing that I don’t even want to look at the price of it?” She said with a light grin as she glanced at some of the other saddles. It would be best if she avoided this part of the store, but now that she was here, she wanted pretty much all of the saddles. She made sure not look around at prices yet, since she knew what was coming. Jenna kept glancing at the saddle, wanting it more and more. "I don't think I should stay by these saddles, I will end up having a break down." She grinned slightly, and walked back over to the other, cheaper, saddles with some reluctance.
OoC: I like Savannah's new nickname for her.

She could tell the girl was not so comfortable talking to her, whether it be her overbearing confidence, ability to talk up any item in the store, or just the fact that she was guiding her over towards the more expensive saddles, she'd never know. "Slightly interested always means so much more." She said to her with a grin. "What gave it away? I can spot a jumper from a mile, and a dressage rider always has a certain trait about them, secretive and closed if you will. Same with any discipline." She said with a shrug to her as they walked down the line. She smiled when she saw the girl's eyes set their sights on the Hermes, and the smile which had just crept onto her face. She wanted it. Savannah knew this right away. How, you might ask? Girls always wanted things they couldn't have, and little miss no-match-jacket was just the same. She mentioned the price and Savannah shrugged. "It all depends on how much you want to wow everyone around you, as well as being more comfortable and confident in your riding. If you think about it, the benefits of this saddle greatly outweigh the price. Then again, you can't exactly say these things if you live in the suburbs and both your parents are working at least two jobs." She said with a shrug, seeing how she reacted to that. She was sure, just by the looks of this girl, that her family had at least some money. The girl kept glancing at the saddle, making it more obvious that she wanted it. She watched as she walked away from it, though there was hesitance in every step she took towards the cheaper saddles. "Maybe you'll just have to save all of your extra spending money until daddy doesn't know you even bought it?" She said to her with an eyebrow raised. "That's what I'd do at least. My father bought it for me as a Christmas present last year, but that was all I got. Fair trade for something so magnificent."OOC: danke, haha. Savannah's not one to care about people's names, so she'd rather use a slightly rude nickname for each person she meets

She smiled softly at the girl for her confidence in her ability to detect the discipline a person rides. This girl was a mystery completely. Jenna was pretty good a reading people, but not this girl, which was making her slightly annoyed. Not annoyed at the girl per say, but her unreadable personality. She just shrugged, and smiled back. ”Well, I’m not really that secretive, or closed. I’m usually outgoing, fun, and talkative.” She grinned lightly, letting the girl know she wasn’t so reserved. If she wasn’t basically on this girl’s turf, she would have started talking when the girl came over.
Jenna listened at the girl’s little spiel about the saddle that she so desperately wanted. This girl wasn’t making leaving the saddle easy on her, but that was her job, making you want the most expensive thing in the store. She just smiled, not saying anything when she paused. Yeah, Jenna’s parents had a nice amount of money, but it wasn’t like Jenna had taken all of their money with her. Her father would most likely buy it for her after enough prodding. ”That’s all probably true.”
After she had walked away the other girl began talking to her again about the saddle. She laughed at the thought of not telling her dad about it. She’s done things that her dad didn’t know about, but she wasn’t completely on board with waiting to save up her money. ”Sounds like a good plan, except I hate waiting.” She grinned slightly, knowing that, that is what the girl would do. Jenna liked the girl for that, for some strange reason. ”Really, daddy got you one for Christmas? At least it was a good compromise.” It came out slightly harsher, with a smirk, though it wasn’t intended like that.

She shrugged slightly, choosing not to argue over the fact that she didn't believe the girl to be all that outgoing. Maybe where the brunette was from, but where Savannah was from, you weren't outgoing until you walked into a brand new place, strutted up to the most attractive guy you could find, and walked out with him in a matter of minutes. That was outgoing, and that was Savannah. Here, however, she'd not yet laid eyes on a very attractive male, so she was holding that back.
She nodded as the girl agreed with her, but didn't comment on whether or not her family had money. So they did, then. Savannah was 3 for 3 now. Since money wasn't the issue, it was persuasion she needed. The girl was obviously wondering how she'd get one from her parents, though they both knew it wasn't rocket science.
She listened to the girl's response and laughed lightly at her confession of being impatient. "I had a feeling. A girl like you must get things in an instant, huh? Angel face, dark brown hair, chocolate brown eyes. You're the definition of poster child. Who can say no to that?" She said to her with an all-knowing grin. She then heard the comment on her Christmas present. "Yeah, it was, especially because my mother bought me loads of other things. That's the plus side of parents not talking too much about their children. Neither of them know what the other is doing for you, or getting you. Sure, you get the occasional repeat gifts, but then you get those golden opportunities where one buys you an expensive a$s saddle, and the other buys you everything else you could have ever wanted." She smirked to her. "So what do you say? Gonna go ask daddy for a new saddle?" She asked her with a raised eyebrow.

She took the comment slightly to heart about getting things when she wanted. It turned on her both ways. According to this girl her looks got her what she wanted, which Jenna believed to be bull crap, and that she was pretty much spoiled and got what she wanted when she wanted it. Her stomach flopped around, and her heart thrashed around in her ribcage, screaming heinous things at the girl standing in front of her for acting like she knew everything about Jenna. She swallowed hard, as if she was trying to swallow dry cotton, and just gave a fake smile.
Immediately after she began screaming mentally at the girl, she began feeling sorry for her. She couldn’t blame someone for things they do or say if their parents hardly talk. It must be hard to have parents like that. Jenna used to wish her parents weren’t so obsessed with one another, and sometimes even wished they would split up. ”Wow, I guess it is a plus of them not talking.” Though I’d rather have them talk and just get a few things than not talk and get everything. She was lucky though. Her parents got her pretty much whatever she wanted, which made her feel spoiled at the moment.
Jenna took a breath, trying to decide whether or not the girl was using sarcasm when she asked if Jenna was going to ask her dad. She pursed her lips, deciding if she was going to call her dad. ”d**n you… I’ll be right back.” She grinned as she pulled her Droid Razor out of her bag, and walked out of the store to call her dad.

Savannah ignored the way the girl's plastic smile formed on her face in response to her physical description of her. So maybe she'd gotten that wrong, but that's how other people saw her at first glance, she knew that much. Of course, there was always more to a person than what you could see on the surface... kinda like that Ice burg thing, right? You only see 10 percent, or whatever?
No-match-jacket seemed to have a mentality shift after hearing Savannah's words about her parents, which made her raise an eyebrow, but when the girl didn't start saying, 'Oh, I'm so sorry' or 'You're parents aren't together? That sucks!' She gained a bit of respect for her. Most people started gushing to Savannah if they caught wind about her home life, which only pissed the girl off more, and, if you didn't already get the idea, you don't want to piss Savannah Paxson off. Sh*t gets ugly.
She smiled as the girl thought over her last question and then nodded as she walked away to go call her father. She'd done pretty well today, making the total commission sales go from $824 to $7,574. Not too shabby if you asked her. She waited for the girl to come back, greeting a mother and daughter who had just walked in with her cookie-cutter smile she showed all of the new customers, and then wiped it off her face as soon as they were gone.

She called her dad up as she went over to her truck and leaned on the hood of it. Her heel clicked on the concrete, and she wrapped her left hand around her small waist as they talked. The man on the phone was completely against the idea of getting the seven thousand dollar saddle. After some prodding and a compromise was settled she was given the ok to get the saddle. Jenna’s voice got louder as she thanked her dad over the phone, and promised she would go down there and see them very soon. She hung up her phone, stuffed it into her back pocket, and threw the bag and jacket into the truck after grabbing the credit card and her keys.
Jenna walked back into the store casually, trying not to give it away that she was getting the saddle. Slowly she walked over to the girl that she had been talking to earlier. ” I just need a new girth,” she paused a moment to swallow hard. ”Oh, and the Hermes.” She grinned lightly before walking over to where some girth’s had been hanging. Hayley had a particularly large girth due to being half Clydesdale. She made her way back over to the girl after picking out a new, sturdy, girth and smiled happily. ”You are way to good at your job, you know that?” She let a light grin slip between the two of them.

Savannah waited for the girl to return and as she did she walked around the store slowly, ready to answer any questions that a customer might have about the store's products; thought there weren't many questions to ask about a saddle pad. It sits in between your horse's back and your overpriced hunk of leather... that's it, honestly. She leaned back against the counter and looked around, grinning slightly at how she'd remodeled the inside. Shelves were moved, displays put up, pyramids of polo wraps, walls of saddle pads, bridles, and horse tack. She did a pretty nice job if she did say so herself.
As the saddle prospect walked back into the store, Savannah immediately knew it was a yes. Then she heard what the girl said and she almost raised an eyebrow. "A girth?" She asked slowly, a bit confused. She'd never failed at making a sale before... ever. The next words said brought her heart back out of her stomach and she laughed, shaking her head. "You had me fooled there for a moment." She said to the girl, walking back over to where the Hermes saddle sat and taking the item number down on her phone to find it in the back. "What size do you need?" She asked the girl, though she could tell it was probably a 16, just depended on if she needed any other extras besides just the basic size. She smiled to the girl when she received the compliment and nodded to her, "I know." She said with a small smirk and a quiet laugh. She'd always been good at convincing people.

Jenna smiled as she heard the girl’s voice when she said she needed a girth. It was pretty immature to do that. She was acting like a little kid who just got her hand caught in the cookie jar. ”Well, you seem to need something to add the tiniest bit of humor and entertainment during your work day.” It was probably true, the place wasn’t all that busy, and entertaining. As she was picking through the girth’s, she heard the girl ask for a size. Jenna thought for a moment, then decided the proper size. ”A 16 will be fine.” Even though Jenna was 5’7”, she still could easily fit into a 16.
She waited for the girl to get the right sized saddle, and when she came back to have Jenna pay, the dark haired girl whipped put her credit card, then phone. She was about to pay to for the saddle and girth when she looked at the time on her phone. ”Oh god, I am going to sit in my room, bored for hours.” Jenna huffed, not wanting to go back to her room quite yet. She glanced at the girl and gave a small explanation. ”Sorry, I go to school at Blue Ridge, and I just don’t want to go to my room yet.” She could probably hang out in the vets office for a while and see if Lee needed help, with anything, if she needed to, but he had her number.

Savannah laughed, nodding and looking around at the nearly empty store. "It is quite dull in here... The other worker, the dude," She said, nodding her head in the male worker's direction, "We haven't said a single word to one another since I started working here last week." She said to her with a sigh. "Wonder if I scare him." She added with a small giggle.
She nodded at the girl's words turning around quickly to grab one from the back, as well as the matching girth. Once out with both, she placed them on the counter and started to ring her up when she heard the girl speak again. She frowned and sighed, knowing the pain. "Ew, sitting around in an empty room is the worst. Why not take the horse out for a spin in the new saddle?" She asked with a smirk and a raised eyebrow. Then she heard the next sentence as she finished ringing her up. She raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl again in a new light. "Blue Ridge? No way. I'm in Blue Ribbon." She said to her with a laugh and a smile.

Jenna grinned when the girl laughed at her comment. She was happy that she had added a slight amount of humor to the girl’s day. She nodded as she glanced over at the guy, raising her eyebrows with a slight grin. ”You should go talk to him, make some conversation.” She paused a moment to laugh at her own thought. ”You could play the damsel in distress, you know. Act like you need help,” she began striking a dramatic pose then said, ”your knight in shining armor could come to your aid.” Jenna giggled softly at her own weird attempt at humor. ”I bet he won’t be afraid then.”
She shrugged and wrinkled her nose softly at the girl’s suggestion. Sadly Hayley had already worked very well in the jumping arena earlier that morning. ”My girl already worked today so I am letting her rest.” She huffed softly then smiled at the girl. When the girl mentioned that she was in Blue Ribbon Jenna lit up and her smile grew even larger. ”Really, Blue Ribbon? I am too. Which floor are you on?” Jenna hadn’t recalled seeing the girl around, but then again, she wasn’t really paying much attention. ”Oh, I am Jenna by the way.” She grinned lightly after she introduced herself.
