His soft and fast footsteps usually woke the gelding up quickly and left him waiting at the stall door, but today, the two boys felt the same way: exhausted. They'd been training all week long and Can knew as well as the next person that they needed a day off. He sighed, walking into the stall and giving the gekding a scratch on the nose. "How does a trail ride sound?" He asked the horse who had his sure barely halfway open as he leaned into the scratch. "Yeah, that's what I thought too." He chuckled before patting his neck and walking over to the tackroom, taking his saddlepad, girth, bridle, and saddle out of the tack trunk, throwing the set of bell boots and brush boots on top as well. He then out them on the saddle rack outside the stalk and clipped him to the walk before beginning the grooming ritual.
A thought popped into his head, from the first night he was here. Diamond. Maybe she'd want to join them. He holed she was coming down to the stable soon and found her mare's stall, occupant inside. He took a sheet of paper and a marker from the office and wrote on it, 'Trail partner wanted: Must be able to lead partner out of scary woods when Jason starts to chase you.' He chuckled at himself and then wrote in smaller letters down at the bottom, 'You up for a ride? Meet me in the fields by noon.' It was 11 now, maybe he was cutting it too close, but she should be down there soon anyway. He hung it on Fly's stall door and then finished tacking up Bully, making sure he wasn't cheating with the girth before leading him outside and mounting up, headed for the Green Hill Trail, knowing he shouldn't push the gelding too hard today. He gave him a free rein in the field, waiting for noon to come.

Diamond had been planning on riding Fly out on the trails today. As she was in her dorm getting ready to go on a nice ride, Diamond thought back to when she saw the squirrel in the tree with Luka. Grabbing her phone she slipped it into her back pocket, along with headphones, going to be singing along once she took a break, away from everyone. As she just finished up her makeup, Diamond then headed out the door, making sure her pets were kenneled into cages. Now walking down pavement, Diamond turned the corner, only a few minutes away from her dorm, and she spotted the barn. Walking inside, Diamond then walked down the aisle, towards her Cremell mare. Seeing her sticking her head over the stall door, with something in her mouth, Diamond reached her and firmly placed her hand on the...paper? Taking it out of her mouth, Diamond tried to read the handwriting, but couldn't because of all the slobber smeared ink. Fly, this is bad. It could of been very important. Diamond siad, placing it into her back pocket. Shrugging it off, she then headed to the tack room, simply grabbing a "no bit" bridle, and placing it onto her shoudler, walking back out of the tack room and to Fly's stall. Quickly tacking the mare up, with just a bridle, Diamod led her down the aisle and out the barns doors, mounting up form the ground onto the mare's bare back. Placing her heels into her sides, Diamond led the mare and herself towards the Green Hill Trail. Entering now, Dimaond moved along quickly, wanting to get away as fast as possible so she could simply sing. Now moving into a nice trot, and then a canter, diamond and Fly reached a nice field, you could call it. Seeing a couple of trees towards the middle, Diamond trotted over, tieing Fly's reins, and then climbing the tree. Getting her Iphone and headphones out, Diamond then plugged them in and zoned out, closing her eyes. SInging the new song by Taylor Swift "We are Never Ever Getting Back Together", Diamond immediatly felt amazing, and free. I remember when we broke up the first time Saying this is it, I've had enough, 'cause like We haven't seen each other in a month When you, said you, needed space, what? Then you come around again and say Baby, I miss you and I swear I'm gonna change Trust me, remember how that lasted for a day I say, I hate you, we break up, you call me, I love you Oooh we called it off again last night But Oooh, this time I'm telling you, I'm telling you We are never ever ever getting back together We are never ever ever getting back together You go talk to your friends talk To my friends talk to me But we are never ever ever ever getting back together Like ever... Diamond's harmonzied and pitch perfect voice hit every not as she pratices almost every night in her dorm room. OUTFIT

Can sat atop Bully, not paying attention to where the gelding was wandering as he waited in the hot sun for her to come. Time passed by and Bully continually walked over to the shade, munching on the grass, dirtying his bit. Cannon sighed, knowing it's be a pain to clean his bit after this trail ride.
After another half hour, Can knew he should have just done more training today. This wasn't like him, to skip out on a training day to go for a pleasure ride. He regretted it even more now that it seemed Diamond hadn't gone to the barn. He started to grab the reins when he heard hoofbeats and a song coming down the hill towards him. He looked up and saw a cremello horse coming down, ridden by a familiar face with dark brown hair. He smiled lightly to himself, seeing that she must not have been expecting anyone to be down there since she was belting out the latest Taylor Swift song.
Can gathered his reins, pulling a reluctant Bully up from the grass and waiting for her to see him. It wasn't hard to see Diamond, in her bright red shirt on her spotless white horse. He, however, was wearing something much less noticeable. His navy blue polo and worn blue jeans, which made up his casual riding outfit, weren't very flashy, and usually caused people to do little more than a glance his way.
Bully finally noticed the pair and his ears pricked up, wondering if they were coming to see him. He loved attention, and immediately assumed that everything passing by within 200 feet was there to see him. Shows were like heaven for him.

As Diamond was in the tree, and the song ended, with a faint entrance from another song, Mercy, she saw a movement out of the corner of her eye. Almost losing balance from the branch, Diamond caught herself, and readjusted, ignoring the movement. As she saw yet another movement, Diamond then shifted and craned her neck looking, feeling herself slip, she fell reluctantly, though grabbing onto the branch she pulled herself back up, having enough strenth to do so. Her stomach hurt bad, as she caught her belly ring on the tree, but she ignored it, and still was cautinous about the "something" in the woods around her. Then making out a horse, must be a rider on top, Diamond then asked, Have a problem? Is this your tree or something? she asked, taking out her phone and turning of her music. Now she was embarassed, how long had that person been there? Long enough to here her sing? Just..how long! fly pricked her ears, towards the new pairs direction, and she let out a soft nicker towards the horse, curious of who it had been.

He smiled when he saw her on the tree branch, Fly below, reins tied to one of the branches. Bully bickered to the made, eager to have a friend on the trail. She seemed startled, embarrassed even, caught off guard no doubt. Nope, but it looks like the tree might have a problem with you. What's that, the third time it's tried to throw you? He chuckled to her, coming up closer so she could see who it was that had caught her in a moment of relaxation.
You're late. He said to her, checking his watch to see that it was 12:15. When I said 12 o'clock, I meant noon not midnight. He said to her with a grin, at least happy that his day would t be a complete waste of time. Training slipped his mind once he saw her and now all he was worried about was how long they'd dawdle before heading out onto the trails. Do you not have any respect for a hand written invite? Kids these days. He sighed sarcastically, shaking his head. He then grabbed Fly's reins, untying them with a light tug and pulling her towards him. You coming or are you gonna catch up later? He asked, started to moved away from the tree with her horse in tow, a smile playing on his lips.

Hearing the horse nicker to her mare, Diamond got a little agitated as she couldn't figure out who it was. Making her mad, she just sat plain in the tree, texting away now embarassed of her singing. He, or a she, could of been there the whole time. Great! Now their gunna go tell everyone they could possibly know! Diamond thought to herself siently. Then hearing him, clearly was now, reply to her, Diamond was caught off guard. His voice seemed all to familar, sounding like her friend, Cannon. Then coming closer, Diamond relaxed a bit seeing she was correct. Haha very cu- Diamond said stopping mid-way. very sexy of you. I really don't clique with trees, apparently. Hearing that she was..late? Diamond wasn't sure if she heard correctly at first, but then that he checked his watch and replied, Diamond cocked her head. Then hearing about the written letter, Diamond then smiled chuckling. My horse seriously does not know when to stop eating. Was this it? Diamond asked jumping from the tree's branch, while Cannon moved Fly. Hopping up quickly onto her mare's back, Diamond handed him the note.

He laughed as she saw who it was, seemingly relieved that it wasn't someone else. Oh, so now I'm sexy? Yeah, I could get used to this. He chuckled to her, looking up from atop his large gelding. Bully was sniffing Fly's nose, saying hello. When Can looked up again, she seemed confused by his teasing, which she shouldn't have been, seeing as the note was left right on the stall door. She then said something about her horse's eating habits and when she hopped down and then back up onto Fly, and handed him a note, all covered in horse slobber. Oh, yeah, that would be how I write my a's... He chuckled to her. So note to self, don't leave a piece of paper on a stall door where a horse can get it. He laughed. Or, better yet, I won't have to write anymore letters if I know your phone number. He said to her with a raised eyebrow, pulling out his phone and creating a new contact. Would you do the me the honor? He asked her, handing it to her once he had her name in it. First Name: Diamond Last Name: Thinks I'm Sexy Mobile Number: Picture:

Hearing Can laughed now at her, and then a comment still wondering in her ear, Diamond chuckled. Better not, saving that for someone else one day. she said to him, with a smriking face. Then seeing his horse, Bully sniff Fly, Diamond said, So this is the amazing Bully is it now? He's gorgeous. she said to him complimenting his horse, and stroking the soft muzzle of him, as well as Fly's. As she hannded him the note, and he took it out of her hands, looking at the paper, she chuckled back at his comments. Better not leave anything on my stall door, she eats everything and anything that she can find. Diamodn said to him. Taking the phone from his hands, Diamond typed in her number, quickly glancing at the last name. Smiling and shaking her head, she handed it back to him. She would send him a picture later of her, she wasn't feeling in the mood for a picture at the moment, which was weird, considering it was Diamond you were talkign about.

He chuckled, raising an eyebrow. Alright, point taken. Harsh, but still accepted. He said to her with a laugh.
He followed her gaze to the gelding being friendly with Fly. This would be him. Don't tell him that, though. It gets to his head, makes him think he's a beauty queen. He laughed to Diamond, giving his chestnut a pat on the neck as he reached up to greet Diamond, his eyes closing in happiness as she stroked his muzzle.
He then nodded as she warned him not to leave anything by her stall door. I can see that, got some nice proof sitting in my hand... getting it nice and slobbery... She grinned. Bully will rub against anything and everything, as well as sneeze on it, but I don't think he's ever eaten paper before... Can't be good for the digestive system. He said, completely seriously, though he did have a small smile pulling at his lips.
As she put her number in his phone, he saw her smile and shake her head, and knew that she must have seen her last name. He took it back and hit save, noticing she hadn't taken a picture of herself. He pulled up the camera and leaned over to her, Smile. He said to her as he took it, and then sent it to her when done, also setting it as her contact photo, until she wanted to send him one herself.

Seeing his raised eyebrow, Diamond raised hers up too. Backing up a bit, like a "what you doing?'' face towards him. Chuckling back, Diamond layed down on Fly's neck, being lazy and said, Yeah cause I'm so mean like that.
Ha, most geldings think that. Sadly I only have Fly, what about you? Any others? Diamond asked Cannon. She wished that she had a gelding, they seemed fun, but she loved Fly as much as she could; and she couldn't bare having to shared attention. Time managing at least.
Laughing, Diamond then lifted herself up from her horse's neck, and unmounted. So since we aren't moving, what do you want to do? Be idiots, be stupid, be crazy? Diamond said giving him options. She couldn't ever sit still, ever ever ever. Not once in her life, she has to be doing something or she gets "bored".
As he proposed to take a picture of her, Diamond made a duck face and then waited for the click of the camera, knowing it had saved. She then stroked the mare's neck when she craned her head to Diamonds shoulder.

He chuckled. You'd better believe it, princess. He said to her with a teasing smile.
She asked about him having any other horses and he shrugged. I personally only have Bully, but my parents own all the eventers known to man back home. He said to her. He remembered how many there were and sighed. Sometimes I wonder if they are horse hoarders. He chuckled.
He realized when she brought it up, that they were still where they were when she'd mounted. "Well, I was planning on just heading out on the trails, but we could make it more interesting by going off for a while, exploring?" He said to her with a grin. Whoever makes it out alive wins? He laughed to her.
He laughed when he saw her pose for the picture and nodded, That's a keeper. He laughed to her, setting it for her contact photo and then locking the screen. When he looked back to her, he mimicked her pose, pushing his lips out as far as he could and even threw up the dueces. You think I could pass as a teenage girl? He laughed to her.

Smiling back at Cannon with a divious look, she said back, I don't know what to believe anymore. With a smirk she stroked her mare's neck and played with the long locks coming from her roots, and down longer than any horse's hair Diamond had seen around here.
Nodding her head, she then commented, Must be nice; we have some nice Dressage champions to breed with back at my house; I wish that I could visit, but it'd be a nice and long flight. Where do you live? Diamond asked him now looking back in his eyes. Maybe over break her parents could fly in; or she could fly in there. Ideas, ideas; but they would always remain that.
Smiling back at him, she nodded, Sounds fair; we'll ride out after. she said looking around at the embedded forest in front of them. She listened to see if any rushing water was around; but there was none that she could hear, and nothing that she could see was going to help her; except the trees. That was one of her objectives that could always be used.
Oh, definantly. Diamond said, playfully hitting the back of his head when he pushed his lips out. She laughed as Fly nipped at Bully's neck. Taking the mare's head; Diamond tapped her cheek bone, firmly telling her no.

He shrugged at what she said, about all those eventing horses back home. "Sometimes. Others I just wonder why they would bother with all of those horses if they didn't even ride them." He said to her. "So if your family breeds top dressage horses, does that make Fly here a good dressage partner? Or did you not breed her?" He asked her as he looked down to her mare. She then asked him where he lived and he looked up at the sky, seeing the sun overhead. He then nodded towards the right of them, towards the sky above the forest. "Second star to the right and straight on till morning." He said to her with a smirk. "Which in reality is only a three hour drive from campus." He said to her as he fixed his stirrup.
She hit him in the back of the head, lightly of course, and in return, he faked pain. "Oh, oh god, my head. Since when are there four of you, Bully?" He said in a sarcastic voice, laughing towards the end. If there was one thing he knew he'd never do, it was become an actor. At least that much of his life for for certain.

Listening to Cannon say back to her about his horses at home, she nodded understanding. Some of the horses, and owners let alone, back at the ranch were just stuck up; and pampered. Fly wasn't, well as a filly maybe, but she was never perfect; as some people thought their horses were.
Fly...she was a filly from an armature mother; but a top father. He was in a really good bloodline; but yes I did breed her. Twice. Diamond told him, stroking the mare's neck. She wasn't too good at the second birthing, which is why Diamond immediately stopped with that colt and never bred again. She had some takers that wanted to breed; but she declined all of them.
Hearing about where he lived, Diamond chuckled. Lucky, flying my home is about 8 hours from here; nonstop. Diamond said to him.
I knew a girl back home, she had one of the best, and stuck up, horses at our barn. I rode her horse; just because she couldn't? Which I didn't get at all. I miss home, how about you? Diamond asked him, wondering if he missed his house; or family.
Laughing with him at the illusinations he was supposedly having now, Diamond chuckled.
